April Wedding

Great house for families. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is a huge plus. Kids playroom was great. We didn't have time to use the bikes or canoes/kayaks, but they were available, which is also nice. Huge kitchen and eating area. All-in-all a great house!

Ecstatically Happy

House and property are even more beautiful in person than online photos show. Even tho property listed with Eatonton address, city of Greensboro on other side of bridge has everything you need - from Ace Hardware to Publix - and is only 5 to 10 minutes away from house. We were large group and cooked every meal. Double ovens a HUGE bonus! Never ran short on dishes or silverware. Steve and Lana were EXTREMELY accommodating from the very beginning all the way to the end of our stay. Fishing on the dock was enjoyed by all. Watched sunrise with colors reflecting on lake each morning. Weather was unexpectedly cooler so we Floridians got to take advantage of the fire pit every night. BOOK YOUR STAY WITH THIS HOUSE - you won't be the least bit disappointed.

Almost perfect

Beautiful new spacious but little details need attention…no dressers/chest of drawers in any bedrooms, 3-4 hangers, no trash containers in bathroom sink area, none at all in 1/2 bath, only 1 set bath towel in some bathrooms, spices in kitchen not labeled , outdoor flag needs light at night, very inconvenient to have to take trash every day to recycle

Beautiful, large house works well for a large group

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The house is spacious, modern, with loads of windows. The hosts were very helpful in supplying information that we needed before we arrived, concerning restaurants, etc. He had four vehicles so were grateful for the large circular driveway -- parking for plenty of cars.

Lana & Steve relocated from WI to GA in 1986, discovered Lake Oconee in 1989, and have been vacationing here ever since! Our two boys, Tom and Max, were raised in Marietta, GA. Tom married Holly 4 years ago. We decided in 2020, as a family, to purchase Golden Acres (2 acres with the small cabin on site) with the intention of building a main house and renovating the cabin for rental on VRBO.
