Hi Carrie, I am glad that Howie and the kids enjoyed the cottage and even caught some fish. Sorry to hear about your Uncles passing. Hope you are able to visit us again!
Thanks!

Thanks Elizabeth! I found a pair of tiny pearl earrings in the shower. There was a baseball bat behind the couch. I can mail the earrings but not sure about the bat. Are you ever in the area
This cottage was the perfect home base for our family to reconnect over the 4th of July. The property was super cute and had everything we needed to unplug and enjoy some family time at the lake.

We were looking for a lake cottage experience for our grandson, and we found in here, plus. Cozy, warm and updated cottage, we felt at home walking in. The views of sunrises and sunsets on the lake were spectacular. Plenty of kitchen to cook in, but many eat out options nearby. Our host was incredible and inviting and the residents of the lake were friendly and fun. More than enough outdoor seating for visits from family & friends. We could not recommend more.

Cottage
Over all the cottage is sweet and cute. The beds are not comfortable at all, we decided after the second night to go get air mattress to sleep on. This was after we got 2 small fans to use in the bedrooms, there was no water pressure at all it made a sound when you used it. Yes the lake area was great for my grandchildren.
We wanted to make the summer break week with our grandson special. Our stay was everything and more than we hoped for. The locations was ideal for our son to join us after his work shift was over. Becky greeted us when we were situated. She was nice and let us know if we needed anything to let her know. We didn't need anything, the cottage was well equipped with necessities. The adirondack chairs by the lake were great and we enjoyed the sunsets!

Thanks for your review, and so glad you had a nice time with family!
Everything about this cottage was five plus stars.
The accommodation was very cozy and was exactly as pictured. Our kids had fun catching turtles and playing with sand toys near the water. We brought our own twin blow up mattress so all 3 kids could sleep in the same room. It fit perfectly on the floor next to the bunk beds. Becky was a great host, she responded quickly to anything we needed. Our kids are already asking when we can go again! Rent this cute quaint modern little cottage, you will not be disappointed!
Quaint property on a nice lake. We were there to kayak fish and relax and we did! The refrigerator could use a deep cleaning. The master bedroom was difficult to navigate because the queen side bed filled the room almost completely… nighttime
trips to the bathroom were precarious for the person sleeping on the far side of the bed. Also, the bedroom didn’t cool down enough because the air conditioning unit was in the main part of the home.
This cottage has been redone. It is modern, comfortable and clean. Becky, the owner, was there to greet us and made sure we had everything we needed. The neighbors were friendly and kind. The lake is clear and the sunsets are stunning. I definitely want to rent this quaint cottage again.

I am glad you were able to enjoy the atmosphere we have all enjoyed here at Baptist Lake. Yes, the sunsets are great-thank you for your kind words.
We were very happy with our stay and had a great time especially our kids! The water and beach area are sparkling clean. We brought our boat and had plenty of room to anchor it on shore plus still use the beach area. The cottage itself was clean and very cozy. Great place for a small family to stay. The owner was very responsive and had the cottage stocked with basic essentials like linens, towels and pots/pans. We would definitely consider staying again.

Thanks for your kind review. We are happy the you had a great time and were able to use your boat. We hope to see you again.
This cottage is very cute, recently remodeled so it's decor is adorable. Owner is very responsive and helpful. Our only issue was with cleanliness, lots of spiders and webs... Becky brought over some bug spray but the place could definitely use a good deep cleaning. Otherwise it has everything we needed. No restaurants or stores super close but easy enough to drive there. It's a very small town quiet atmosphere. Our two young girls loved being right on the water, if we owned it.. (We wish lol).. We would expand the beach area and add some sand for more play area. We definitely enjoyed our restful weekend away and hope to come back.

Thanks for your feedback. We had fun remodeling it! We have hired a company to take care of any insects in the cottage, and we have also added a list of family activities, nearby towns and restaurants-within 15-30 minutes. We hope to see you again!

Cleanliness dissatisfaction, sadly. Dirty.
Would have meet our needs, with the exception of having to clean the indoor premises ourselves taking approximately 40 minutes after arrival (have multiple photos). Leaving my husband to be somewhat concerned on the possibility that bed linens may not have been changed, due to the other items needing his immediate attention, he decided to relocate and not stay for the booked dates Friday thru Sunday am in May 2022. Owner offered to refund amount posted for cleaning only (cleaning deposit) for the cleaning services he performed, that was all. After three initial conversations on the cleanliness matter and uncomfortable desire to stay, as initially planned and paid in full for two nights stay. It has been two weeks now going on three (as I am sending this) from our last correspondence with homeowner, we still have NOT received the mentioned cleaning refund check in the mail.

Thanks for your feedback. Our family had fun remodeling and redecorating it. We have someone coming to take care of the spiders and we are adding some nearby restaurants and activities for families. We hope to see you again!
The cottage was perfect for the two of us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The inside was neat and clean. We had all the supplies we needed to cook, hang out, and enjoy the outside lake view. We fished off the dock in the morning and evening catching and releasing bass and blue Gill with our little dock fishing poles we purchased. We loved the lake and the people we met. I would definitely VRBO this cottage again in the future and highly recommend this cottage to my family and friends. If you note I said “would” not “will” as I love the area so much I am in the process of purchasing my own lake view cottage.. It’s not lakeside but has a lake view about 15 minutes away from here. Thank you VRBO for opening my eyes to this beautiful area in Michigan.

Lake life always brings families together in the summer, we wouldn't trade our experiences for anything. Grandchildren never get bored here. Enjoy your lake house.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the little cottage! It is beautifully redone with all the amenities of home. Beautiful lake and surrounding homes. Thank you, Becky, for having us! See you next time!
