Nice place to get away. Quiet neighborhood. House was nice. A lot of steps to get to the brand new dock which is very nice. Would recommend for a nice family get away.
Nice house and beautiful views. I gotta be honest though and say those stairs to the lake were brutal for me. Lol Going down was fine but going up is a workout. Lol Great dock on the lake! Take a cooler and some lunch and enjoy a few hours lakeside. The row boat could use some new oars. The ones provided didn't seem to be the right ones but my husband made it work. Having a Meijer close was a plus.
We enjoyed the kayaks and fire pit. The screened in porch was nice to sit in and look out at the lake. The one drawback was the 79 steps to the dock. We got lots of exercise this weekend!!
I do not think the pictures actually do this home justice. The views are amazing. There is so much space for kids and adults. The screened in porch was so amazing. The whole family loved swimming and using diving boards. The home was clean and stocked. Very happy with our experience. It was very private and relaxing. 5
The house was very nice and the lake view was amazing! Front of the house could use some work. Did have an ant problem told the host so hopefully they can take care of it. I would definitely stay there again!
I was impressed with all the things not mentioned in the listing! They had a PS4 my 7 year old played. A toddler bed, also a foam bumper to put on the queen bed if you wanted to cosleep with your little. Toys for my toddlers. Fishing rods for my 7 year old. I brought life vests but they had them there. High chair and pack n play if you have a baby. The stairs up from the lake were a workout but it helped tire my kids out. I have a 1, 2 and 7 year old and I definitely think it was well suited for all age groups, even just adults with no kids. The water is shallow around the dock which was nice with littles and made fishing easier. The bath tub is HUGE which my kids love. Overall it was a great place to stay, and I honestly have no complaints.
The house is a great lake front house. We were here over a long winter weekend and so didn't make much use of the large screened in porch but did enjoy the beautiful views of the lake (and eagles in the trees out front).Host was easy to work with and responsive to all questions. Check in was super easy.
What a wonderful end of summer family get together! The house set up was perfect for 10 adults and we loved being able to have our dogs with us! Thank you!
The house was easy to locate and in a wonderful location. The view was beautiful with the sunrise right there overlooking the lake.
I would absolutely recommend this location again.
This property is top notch and so comfortable for families of all ages. Little hospitality touches are abound on the property. We will definitely come back again in the summer. Thank you so much for a wonderful place to stay
Cottage was roomy, with a huge screened porch that is shaded by trees, but still provides a nice view of the lake.
There is a very nice dock and a neighborhood swim platform with diving boards. The playroom downstairs has a video game player for kids. Lake is crystal clear.
Overall, great place and location. Note that there is no a/c. House is right on the lake, which is clear. Dock is newer. Rowvoat and 2 kayaks, life vests, toys, all available. Inside very clean. Outside could have used a hose down (covwebs). Would stay here again, we enjoyed it!
My family & I rented the cabin for a little family fun before the rat race of the school year begins. As soon as we walked through the door, everyone said, “Wow!” at the view. The lake is simply stunning!
We enjoyed using the kayaks provided and had a blast jumping off the diving boards. My son & I even trotted down to the lake our first night to view the meteor shower. The stars were amazing!
For the most part, everyone slept well. Please note that the bedroom that faces the lake has a thin mattress, but the other beds have the
standard size.
This was our second time renting this house. Beautiful location that is conveniently located to Lake Michigan and Grand Rapids. Quiet neighborhood and surprisingly not a huge amount of boating activity on the lake, so you don’t have a constant noise of power boats. The owners are very responsive. Highly recommended.
Beautiful lake home in a peaceful setting. Only 2 miles from the wedding we attended nearby. The house was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. We enjoyed the kayaks on Big Whitefish Lake, which is clear and has a sandy bottom. The house is well-equipped, and the screened-in porch looking over the lake is fantastic. Excellent bird-watching, and our dog loved the place too! Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you, Patricia!
The bathtub/shower in the main bathroom is ENORMOUS! I had to lead with that lol. The house is exactly as they say. It’s very quaint and charming and it feels like a home.
The basement is the best kept secret of the whole thing. Recently remodeled its very nice and oh so cool on hot August nights (no AC, but the attic fan kicks butt). Beds are comfy and the kitchen pretty much has all you need. Washer and Dryer work wonderful. The lake is beautiful and it’s so nice to have a screened in porch to enjoy the view. Coffee in the morning on the lower deck is peaceful even if a bird poops on you lol!! The kayaks were a nice bonus and so is the diving platform. We would come back again for sure. I bet it’s splendid in the fall too.
