The house is well stocked and very thoughtful for guests. Also nice and clean. We definately will be going back. It felt like home! Thank you Michelle!
Kitchen is wonderfully stocked with all the things we needed, even coffee, storage wraps, etc. The kids enjoyed the beach every day with the included rafts, floaters, and kayaks. Decor is lovely too. We would definitely recommend.
We’ve stayed in many lake houses, this one was by far the most well stocked, appointed, and convenient for lake access. We contacted the owner several times, they were very kind and helpful. Would highly recommend this to anybody wanting to relax or go with the family and have a great time.
My family stayed at the cottage for a week in July. The house is spectacular, clean, stocked with everything you need and then some. We enjoyed the paddle board and kayaks as well as catching fish right off the dock. The owner was very responsive and swift to help as needed.
Our family of 7 had an absolute wonderful time at Bass Lake. The house was very clean along with all of the outside furniture. Having the beach towels, coffee bar, s’mores, grill, floats, kayaks, & corn hole was over the top nice. Our older children enjoyed having space downstairs to hang out. We definitely would like to vacation here again.
We enjoyed our stay at the lake house. The house was clean and comfortable and it is great that it is so close Grand Rapids. We enjoyed the floats, kayak and paddle board. It would be nice if there were 2 kayaks so 2people can explore the lake together.

This is great feedback about the kayak and we now have 2 kayaks available to enjoy!
Great communucation. We went in December and roads were icy so half of our group had to park at the bottom and walk up. Well stocked coffee bar and easy to find things. We enjoyed our time there.
We loved our stay at Michelle’s property! We were a group of six with ages ranging from four years old to 82 years old and the house was everything we could ask for. The listing depicted the house very well and it was one of the best stocked (with kitchen & other essentials) rental that I have stayed in. The house is on a lovely lake that is very quiet and peaceful. We spent most of our time on the deck, just catching up with each other and enjoying the view. We wish we had more time to enjoy the lake, but maybe that will be another visit. I would definitely stay here again.
The property was beautiful with access to the lake for swimming or boating. Rooms were comfortable, internet access was fantastic, and enough TVs for everyone to be entertained. The host responded very quickly if we asked questions. Very relaxing and we would definitely book it again. Maybe next year!
Our goal was to spend some time with our three children and their families. Also had a brother and his family visit. The kids enjoyed catching blue gills which we cooked up. Liked the remodel and hope it continues.
Loved this mostly updated place!! Communications and check-in where a breeze, and this place is fully stocked with everything you need and many things you may have forgotten too! Bedding, towels, blankets were luxurious and the view was beautiful to look out over the little lake!! Spacious layout, the 4 bedrooms were perfect for us! We cooked, had wine together, chatted up a storm and enjoyed every minute here! Thank you! The only caution we experienced was our mother has a walker and there are two steps to get into the home, which while we were able to navigate that eventually, I might not say it's exactly "barrier free".....and the driveway was scary with the washed out areas and rutting, but after we swept away the loose gravel, we had not trouble at all!

Thank you for the comments and I’m glad your group had a nice time! We are actually fixing the driveway this weekend so that shouldn’t be an issue in the future.
The property is located on a nice, spring fed, lake with ample water toys (kayak, SUP, tubes, inflatable rafts). They have plenty of towels available. Everything you need to enjoy the lake including a Pontoon Boat. We were on a golf trip but I wish we had spent more time on the lake. It was nice. Owners were responsive and helpful. Our stay was excellent.
This was absolutely our favorite family vacation by far! The house is perfect for our needs. It is very clean and roomy for our group. Michele was very easy to get hold of and very responsive with any questions we had. The lake is beautiful and if you are staying here i recommend renting the boat and bring some poles. If you are hesitant about booking online put your worries away grab a pole and just relax at this beautiful property!
My husband and I took a trip out to Michigan so I could see my fathers side of the family once I graduated. The home came with a notebook with rules and nearby places to visit as well as grocery stores nearby. The host was always quick to respond which was nice. I will say if you have a giant truck you are renting getting in at the garage will be hard. We opted to park on the upper level (not up the wooden stairs) since we did get a truck. Overall we enjoyed our experience. We slept in the basement master which was nice and cool (my husband runs hot). They have alot of bedrooms to choose from. They also have smart tvs / devices as well so don't worry about bringing yours from home either like we did for some down time lol.

It appears that someone is living at this cottage as the cupboards and refrigerator was full
There was no internet or TV access. Returnables and trash were left in the kitchen and personal clothes were left in the dryer. Listing stated no pets yet there was obviously dog/s living at this home with dog food on the floor and stains in the carpeting.

In response to the issue about the fridge and cupboards being full, we leave condiments and spices for guest use and convenience. None of them were expired. We have a smart TV where guests have access to Netflix, Hulu, etc and cable TV was never listed as a feature on this property. We have high speed WiFi available and the login and password were provided. Our cleaning service forgot to come before this guest’s stay and we were very apologetic, refunded the cleaning fee, and even offered to buy them a pizza for the trouble.

Very lived in home
We had a nice stay; but this property has more of a lived in feel; then weekly rental VRBO. It’s not the cleanest, so bring your cleaning supplies. The refrigerator and the cupboards are packed with what they’re calling condiments but there was so much more. We could barely get our food in the refrigerator. I’d be appreciative of salt and pepper, but not mayonnaise and jelly and coffee cream. We were stranded on the lake for about two hours, and had to be towed back in, we were in constant communication with the owner, and she bought us a pizza for our troubles, which was greatly appreciated. The decks were the best part of the house. We would not stay here again.

The constructive criticism is appreciated regarding the condiments. I have been told by guests in the past that they have appreciated not having to buy them but I can see how that might be polarizing, so I will have the cleaning people get rid of everything outside of spices going forward. We have a professional cleaning crew come in prior to every guest stay and this is the first negative experience that has been mentioned.
We rented this property with my husbands best friends family. We had four adults and four kids total and there was the perfect amount of space. The kids loved playing in the lake and a trip on the boat. And we all enjoyed a night by the fire. The owner was quick to respond to all messages as well. It was a great weekend and we’re very pleased with our decision to stay here.
We had a small family reunion at this lake house. The host was amazing and detailed! The house was super clean. We enjoyed having the basement with two bedrooms separate from the upstairs. We floated on the clear lake almost everyday & had bonfires at night. Will definitely be back next summer. Also loved that coffee shops and grocery shopping was within a 10
Minute drive.
8 of us (4 adults and 4 kids ages 15, 14, 8, and 6) stayed with room to spare. My younger two absolutely loved swimming and fishing in the lake. My older two loved that there was room in the house to do their own thing. While you aren't too far from the hustle and bustle you're also not too close. The house was clean and well cared for. The beds were comfy and so were the couches. There were enough dishes for all 8 of us. It was also nice that there were condiments and things like popcorn and marshmellows. I would recommend this home to anyone and look forward to booking again.
My family and I had a great time! The owners were responsive and helpful. The property is nice with many new updates and more underway. It had all you needed for a home away from home experience. The lake is small, but clean and clear and we had a great time fishing, boating and floating all weekend!
