A great house for our large family and grandchildren to stay in for a nearby wedding. We loved that every couple had their own bathroom — it made getting ready so easy. Plenty of parking, a well‑stocked kitchen, and lots of space to prep meals for a big group. The gathering areas were comfortable, and we even enjoyed a fire outdoors in the firepit one evening. The location worked well for us, close to both Watkins and Corning. Lake access is a moderate walk plus stairs, but doable. We also appreciated the owner’s flexibility as our plans shifted. The house does have lots of tchotchkes, so we spent a few minutes moving things out of reach of the toddler, but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, a great stay for a family group.
House is old and quaint, but excellent for a large group. While getting to the lake is a challenge, the facilities at the lake (canoe, kayak, chairs) were great. The internet was problematic, but I think that was an issue beyond the control of the property.
Beautiful, very spacious house, very tastefully decorated. Lots of kids toys, board games. Kitchen was very well stocked. Air conditioning in all bedrooms was a life saver - we stayed during the heat wave and wouldn't be able to sleep otherwise. Quite a hike to/from the lake, but we were prepared and tried to minimize the trips back and forth. Lake is amazing! Water shoes highly recommended - kids were running bare feet first day and we had few cuts. Overall we had a great time! Communication with the owner was also great - Michele promptly replied to all my messages. thank you!
The property was comfortable for our group of friends for the weekend. We all loved the kitchen, which is well equipped for large groups, and the central location near wineries and Watkins Glen. The host, Michele, was communicative and responsive.
Excellent location for a getaway vacation to the Finger Lakes. Great house and property. Plenty of room for dining, family fun time and privacy. Outstanding kitchen!
This was a perfect home for a group of ten friends to stay in for a long weekend wine tour around Seneca Lake. It has a very comfortable feel and easily accommodated us as we toured during the day, and relaxed together at night. We had an issue crop up, and Michele was incredibly responsive as we worked through it. Can't say enough about her home and support during our stay.
This was a gathering of my siblings and our spouses. There were 8 of us all together. We all enjoy cooking so having a fully stocked kitchen was key for us. The gathering spaces were also perfect especially the gorgeous front porch and large dining area.
We loved the location and the charm of the Victorian home. We all enjoyed the beach and fire out area although it is a bit if a challenge he to get down there. The pitch was amazing for morning coffee and evening wine and conversation. The kitchen is well equipped. Thank you Michelle for a perfect getaway. Beautiful home
We had a lovely stay. As indicated, it’s quite a walk down to the lake, but the beach and boat house were great. The house was spacious, and the kitchen had top notch appliances, which was great for us as we like to cook. My sole complaint is that the mattresses were very firm, but I think most of our party was fine with them.
Spent three nights at this great house. 12 adults had plenty of space for conversations and gathering. Location is so good for Watkins Glen and Corning.
We stayed at the Lake House for our 50 anniversary get together. Everyone had a room with a bath. We found plenty to do with the kids in the area and had our own boats by the dock. It’s a great place for a big group!
Fantastic historic farmhouse. Couldn’t have asked for a better house for 4 couples all 60. Loved the close location to Watkins Glen State Park, Corning Glass, and the wineries. Equipped with everything we needed plus more. And spacious. Loved sitting on the porch by candlelight at night and in the morning enjoying the view. Highly recommend. Michelle was very very responsive to emails and texts.
Wonderful! You couldn't want for anything else with this property. Check in was super easy. Kitchen was well appointed. Home was clean and comfortable. All appliances were in working condition. No issues.
With the exception of no towels, the property was great. Awesome historical farm house.

I am sorry you did not notice in the agreement that towels were not included. There was an option to rent but you did not request this option.. A phone call would have remedied the problem. Sorry for your inconvenience.
Without a doubt, the Lake House was the perfect gathering spot for our family to celebrate multiple recent events, including birthdays, anniversaries, and graduations. Everyone, ranging in age from 70 to 3, had a fantastic time and everyone was thoroughly enchanted by the lovely Lake House!
Unique and relaxing spot to explore the finger lakes
This property was perfect for our multi-generational family vacation. Lots of unique spaces inside and out to have quiet time and come together as a big group. Lake access hike is an adventure, but the availability of the canoes and kayaks from the property was super convenient. Great location for exploring the finger lakes. Would stay again and recommend!
