Located in Collias, a typical bustling southern French village with bakery, grocery shop, café and restaurants, near to the newly-restored château, our stone village house can accommodate up to 12 people and is ideal for a large family or a group of friends.
With two terraces tucked away from prying eyes, the house is located 5 minutes’ walk from the Gardon river, a popular spot for bathing, kayaking, cycling, climbing, and pony riding. Set amid the limestone garrigue shrubland, it lies on the doorstep of numerous marked hiking trails that are ideal for discovering the Gorges du Gardon on foot. The ancient Roman aqueduct bridge, the Pont du Gard, is 7 km away by road – or better still, a beautiful 1-hour canoe ride down river.
The summer kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, American fridge, dishwasher, oven and gas hob, and gives onto a large terrace with a big table, plancha and loungers.
The second kitchen is just as well equipped (fridge, dishwasher, oven and induction hob), and is great for entertaining in winter, with its large stone fireplace, or when the weather is less clement. A small terrace adjoining the kitchen is perfect for reading in the sun.
The house has 3 large bedrooms (each sleeping 2 people in doubles) and a dormitory (sleeping 6 people), as well as two bathrooms with showers, one bathtub, and three toilets.
You’ll find board games and books in the games room, and the lounge is a great place to relax and chat, read or watch TV.
The office space is equipped with a desk with screen and free Wi-Fi connection, so that you can work remotely. On the practical side, a laundry room with washing machine, clothes line and ironing facilities are at your disposal.
We can provide towels and bed linen for your stay.
Our stone house is easily accessible, with the A9 motorway 15 minutes’ drive away. It is located 10 km from Uzès, 23 km from Nîmes (rail mainline) and 32 km from Avignon (rail mainline).
You have exclusive access to the entire house (around 200 sq.m.), plus a private garage with one parking space and the 40 sq.m. summer terrace.
The rental includes a mandatory bed linen and towels package (€120) and a cleaning package (€120).
