About this property
Highland Lake - Eastern shore - Mt. Views and Sunsets
Highland Lake House boasts a beautiful view down Highland Lake with the White Mountains in the distance. Perched on the Eastern Shore of Highland Lake, you’ll enjoy watching the lazy summer sun set on the Presidential mountain range. A top location contender for the film On Golden Pond, Highland Lake offers a picturesque setting for cruising in a sailboat, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, or simply relaxing at the water’s edge in an Adirondack chair.
Highland Lake House is owned and managed by a family who has a long history in the Lakes Region and values time by the water with loved ones. It features a charming traditional Cape Cod with plenty of parking for you and your guests. The property is roughly a third of an acre with 25 feet of waterfront and is located within walking distance to the town of Bridgton. There is a stationery dock system and a mooring for any boat you wish to bring.
The views are breathtaking.
Enjoy the property: There is a stationery dock system from shore for access to the water and lounging waterside. In addition to kayaks, there’s a mooring ready and waiting for your fishing boat, water skiing boat, or a sailboat. When it s time to eat, dine on fresh Maine lobster at the picnic table and enjoy views of the lake, or get cozy on the dock while you gaze at the spectacular sunsets.
Enjoy the town : Highland Lake House is located just one quarter of a mile to the quintessential New England village of Bridgton. Here you’ll find amenities such as a new movie theater, library, internet cafe, coffee shop, book stores, antique shops, galleries, and boutiques, plus live music nearly every night during the summer at a local lounge. There are several convenience stores and a department store for any needs you have to enhance your stay. Just a mile away you’ll find an 18 hole golf course boasting commanding views of the area.
Enjoy the area: There is excellent hiking in the area. Shawnee Peak is ten minutes from the property and the White Mountains are roughly one hour.
