About this property
Custom, Spacious Lake-Front Log Cabin Estate: Hot Tub Shuffleboard & Pool Table
Our large, custom, 3500 sf log cabin home and property are wonderful for family get-togethers and weekend retreats alike. Paddle out to the lake’s island and make s’mores in one of the four outdoor fire pits in the evening. Catch a fish in the lake or crab from the Hood Canal and relax outside in the warm Belfaire microclimate. Or hunker down and play games, poker on the card table, or billiards on the pool table with your family members as the fire roars inside. There are plenty of memories to be made in this charming lake-front property with room to explore.
The outdoor space: The outdoor space boasts an outdoor kitchen, natural fireplace, natural firepit, and two propane fire tables. The lawn is large enough to play soccer, badminton, and bocce - possibly all at the same time. Just a few feet from the waters edge, wildlife is a constant entertainment with resident bald eagles, deer, ducks, geese, otters, and beavers. On a clear day you can see the Olympic Range beyond the private, uninhabited island in the middle of the lake. This is an active watersports lake. Drop your boat in at the public boat launch and dock it for your stay on our private dock.
Inside the home: Living room w/ vaulted ceiling, floor to ceiling windows, cozy gas fireplace w/ river rock surround. Kitchen w/ stainless appliances, farmhouse kitchen sink, double oven, and antique replica propane self-light range. All bedrooms w/ balcony or rooftop access. Heat pump/AC. With a wall of windows, starting in the dining room, through the kitchen and living room, you will always enjoy a view. Dining room comfortably seats 8. In the large, "cozy with modern touches" living room with views of Panther Lake and the Olympics. There are plenty of kid's DVDs to watch, and a growing collection of eclectic non-kid DVDs to watch. We have Wi-Fi with two Roku TVs with guest accounts with Netflix and Amazon Prime for any streaming you want.
Head downstairs to a game-room delight! Pool table, poker table, full (unstocked) bar, kids games, and access to the outdoor living space, kitchen, "Koi Pond" (they are goldfish), and dining (in the Spring/Summer months).
The Master bedroom is on the main floor with en suite (including clawfoot tub and full shower) has a queen bed and a delightful doorway to the outdoors with lake views. The guest bedroom above the master has a queen bed and an even more sunning view of the lake. The guest room above the kitchen is made for family fun. One queen beed and a bunk bed with one extra mattress. All bedrooms have either a balcony or an exit to the outdoors with varying Westward views. In addition to the master bath, there is a bathroom upstairs with tub only, a washroom on the main floor, and a full bath with shower in the basement.
We provide full bedding for all the bedding (minus top sheets on the bunk beds).
The lake is seasonally stocked with bass and trout. Bring your boat or fish right off the dock! There is a public boat launch just down the road from the house. Our dock has bumpers and a tie down for your boat. This is an active watersports lake for the ski and surf enthusiasts out there!
Important note: this is a rustic log cabin with modern features. This means that sound travels through the wood floors from the main to upper floors. We have a septic system that can only handle personal waste, toilet paper, and water. Please keep food solids and other garbage out of our sinks and toilets. If the septic tank gets too full or clogged, we will have instructions onsite. We have Wi-Fi and smart TVs but no cable.

With over 150 VRBO stays I can say this place is absolutely amazing. The location and amenities are just perfect. The home, the lake, the property are as welcoming as can be. Truly a gem!
This home exceeded our expectations and was a perfect get away for our family! Everyone had fun with all the activities this idyllic lakefront property had to offer. From the kayaks, to trampoline, to the beautiful lake and mountain views. We'll definitely be back!

Thank you so much - you are very welcome to come back!
The cabin was charming and had lots of space and indoor activities for everyone to enjoy. The owners even set up a large Christmas tree and decorated the cabin for us which was a wonderful surprise when we arrived. We had unprecedented weather which although there was little anyone could do, the owners tried hard to make us as comfortable as possible regardless of the conditions. We really look forward to coming back in the summer when we can enjoy the lake and all of the other amenities this location has to offer. A great place for a family vacation!

Thank you so much! I am glad you enjoyed your stay despite the freezing temperatures and snow. We will be taking your advice on the propane and look forward to chatting soon. You are welcome back any time.
It’s a beautiful lake front cabin with so many fun things for a family to do Beds were comfy and each room had a view of the beautiful yard and the lake. We played pool, basketball and enjoyed the lake front beach area kayaking and using our paddle boards. The water was really nice, and the little fish were all around our feet. We barbequed each night and the waterfront fire pit was a great place to hang out at night to relax, have a glass of wine and chat. We look forward to going back. Thanks Dominic, for being a great host!

Oh my gosh, thank you! You were lovely guests and we would be honored to have you back!
The home was very clean and private. The layout provides a grand entrance upon opening the front door. Instruction book provided filled us in on everything. The kayaks were a definite plus! We never used the game room or pool table but that area of the home was very nice. We were only two people staying in such a large home so we spooked ourselves a few times, all in great fun. Definitely looking forward to coming back again.
The only reason this is not a 5 star is an issue we had that I am confident the owners will take care of with the water supply. They were working on correcting it. This is a great place to fish, kayak, tube/ski/kneeboard/wakeboard with a boat, swim, relax... everything you would hope for on a lake vacation. The lake is spring fed so it is clean and was about 80 degrees with cooler spots where the spring water comes up.
Amazing weather + amazing friends + the perfect location added up to one amazing weekend.
This house is a wonderful get away spot not too far from the city but not too close either. Lake living puts you in a quieter simpler world. The spacious modern log cabin, with plenty of space and amenities to keep 6 adults comfortably entertained for 3 days.
The hosts were great and very responsive to questions or comments. 10/10 would stay here again. In fact I think we will. So if you choose to stay here as well please be kind and keep it in the same shape as you found it ;-)
This was a nice house in a great area on a lake. But unfortunately the description was not accurate for this time of year. The outside kitchen area that is shown on the ad was not useable. All seating areas were dirty and wet because of the weather and the sink, cabinet area was run down and really dirty. The griddle was all rusty and everything around it was in bad shape. I understand it’s winter time, but never staying there before, the host should be more transparent about the functionality and condition of it. Also, the dock was not useable as well because half of it was under water. Seems like it was just left and never dealt with. Like I said, nice house but lack of transparency on those things that are not useable was a big deal to us.
We live in West Seattle, have three kids, and an Au Pair. We love to travel, spend time at the lake house, build fires, and make s’mores. We spend every weekend that the house is not rented at the lake - rain or shine. If you have any specific questions, please ask - we want you to love our home as much as we do.
