About this property

Welcome to the Doll House, a historic house in the Hamlet of Andes, in the heart of the Catskills mountains! It is a breathtaking area with bubbling creeks, autumn leaf display, cool summer evenings, winter skiing...any season has its attractions in this quaint American town.
The Queen Rose bedroom is an elegant room located on the 2nd floor. It has a queen size bed and is ideal for a couple. The Blue private bathroom is separate from the room and is only for your party use with a bathtub and a separate shower. This room is not a full house rental.
Queen Rose bedroom can also be rented in combination with Tower King and Bella Beaty rooms for one party for up to 5 guests. Many combinations for up to 5 guests are possible with these 3 rooms.
You can book 3 rooms, but must chose a 5-guest option on the booking calendar (no matter how many guests up to 5 are in your party).
You can book 2 rooms (Tower King+Bella Beauty or Queen Rose +Bella Beauty, but you need to chose a 3-guest option on the booking calendar.
You can book 2 rooms Tower King+Queen Rose, but you need to chose a 4-person option on the booking calendar.
If only one room is booked (2 guests option on the booking calendar) this room will be offered without any other room options.
Some outdoor and indoor areas are shared among the guests who stay in all rooms in the house.

The entire Doll House Description
The Doll house has four floors and about 5,000 sq.ft. The lounge and sauna are located in the basement. The 1st floor has a 800 sq.ft. kitchen with a half-bathroom, living room, and the parlor room. The front porch has sitting and dining areas. The back deck has an outdoor furniture as well. The front and the back entrance doors are equipped witha Ring camera bells. Guest cannot tamper with these bells and are welcome to use them in communication with the manager if needed.

Guest access
Guests can use basement lounge to play pool and watch TV with theatre surround sound, sauna/wet room (extra charge) and gym in the basement. Continental breakfast is served. Meals are provided by quests. They can use 1st floor kitchen. Apartment has its own kitchenette. A grill is located on back deck. Gardens are open to all visitors! For outdoor dining backyard deck or front porch can be used.

Other things to note
The Trailways bus travel on Route 28 that crosses Andes. The bus stop is in the center of town near Andes General Store, a walking distance from our house. Otherwise, a car is necessary to get around. The gas station is also near the general store. Other closest gas stations are in Delhi and Margaretville. We have a generous parking area in the back of the house.

Lovely

We loved our visit to the Doll House! Tamara and Paul are very considerate and welcoming hosts, and it was very easy to tell that they wanted us to enjoy our visit. The house itself is beautifully maintained. It has been updated just enough to be comfortable without losing the charm of feeling like you are walking into past history.

A quiet Victorian house with separate bathroom and clawfoot tub. You will need to need to work out of your suitcase as there was no closet or drawer space for clothes storage. Kitchen was available although we didn't make use of it. If you need to sleep refrigerated, the lack of AC may bother you but we were fine.

My husband and are world travelers having worked in and visited many countries and cultures. We both cook and enjoy various cuisines. We love the City where Paul has spent most of his life. We are both retired and spend time between the USA, Dominican Republic and Europe. We enjoy Andes tranquility, and our historic Victorian Queen Anne one-of-the- kind house which we lovingly renovated making into a home with all modern amenities. And we love to host people...We want our guests to enjoy the entire property-inside with fireplaces, poll table, the sauna, the guests lounge, large kitchen and outside with its water features and beautiful gardens.

The Doll House is a unique property. The style is Victorian Ann Queen. The house dates to 1900s and was built by a wealthy local family. It is a 5,000 sq ft historic unique property with beautiful original features and modern amenities. The kitchen is an inside/outside room with three French doors. The rooms have their own characters. A separate 3rd floor apartment! This house is a whimsical space that can be enjoyed by anyone - in-town trails, walking distance to downtown restaurants, bubbling creek in the back, an orchard of its own.
