Ski weekend

3 adults 3 teenage boys. We had a good time! Place was clean, like some others have mentioned old home so no sneaking around if light sleepers. Overall great experience would stay again!

Sunday River Ski Weekend

I stayed at this VRBO in late January 2022 with 7 other friends for a ski weekend to Sunday River. It is a 45 minute drive from Sunday River, but the price was right for our large group. The host was friendly and very responsive on the app, we were provided check-in information/instructions at about 12pm on the day of check-in. There is a lot of space on the main floor to congregate and we could fit all 9 of us with chairs around the dining room table. This is a basic set up that gets the job done for a large group. Reliable strong radiator heat for the cold January. This is an older home which comes with typical characteristics of creaking floors, noisy radiators, squeaky faucets and a tight front door to open and close. There is no tip toeing around this place without disturbing a light sleeper. They supplied napkins, paper towels, cleaning supplies, dish washer soap and tons of towels for all guests. The hosts live next door and we never heard them during our stay. The wall dividing the duplex is where the stairs run up to the second floor, no bedrooms or living rooms share the wall. There is tandem 3 car parking available to the right of the duplex (we fit a car, truck and full size SUV) there is a free parking lot a block away for additional space, on-street parking has unique ordinance rules. 1 full bathroom upstairs and a half bathroom just off the kitchen with plenty of toilet paper supplied. The kitchen plates/bowls/coffee mugs are stocked for about 6 people. We were prepared with some paper plates/bowls to subsidize and our own crock pot. Plenty of pots, pans and cooking utensils. I don't recall a microwave in the kitchen. Large fridge with an ice maker, it beeps if you don't close it all the way (just like any modern fridge). Lots of family oriented games stocked on a shelf. We utilized a pot to boil water for the coffee. There is a glass pour over coffee maker and filters (makes ~4 cups) and a keurig with cups in stock (no traditional 12 cup electric coffee maker). We batched out coffee using the glass pour over for our group of 9. Two guys stayed on the click clack sofas on the main floor and rated them as comfortable. There were no check-out instructions provided from the host. It is common in VRBO situations to be asked to pull off the bedding/towels and pile them in a spot on the main floor or load and run the dishwasher or dispose of the trash/recycling outside etc.

Crystal has been living in the area since High School. She bought this property 19 years ago and has raised her two daughters here. Santos moved here 10 years ago from Puerto Rico to work.
