Welcome to our Civil War Farm! Conveniently located on 65 acres of scenic privacy just 5 miles from Gettysburg National Battlefield. There are 2 beautiful facilities available, each decorated with modern comfortable furniture, and accented with Civil War memorabilia and antiques.

We have two different facilities at our Civil War Farm.

A restored 1810 Barn that has two separate bedrooms, both with queen size beds.
Both bed rooms have separate baths, one has a Jacuzzi tub with hand held shower. One has combo Tub/Standup Shower unit.

The other facility is a restored 1831 Civil War Stone House with three separate bedrooms, all with queen size beds and separate bathrooms. One of the bathrooms has a Jacuzzi tub with a separate stand up shower unit, one has an Old Claw Foot Tub with a separate stand up shower unit, and the third has an enclosed Shower/Tub Unit.

Both facilities have central air-conditioning, fireplaces, fully equipped kitchens,
satellite TV in all rooms along with a big screen TV in each of the gathering rooms and are decorated with Fine Antiques with comfortable areas to relax.

Our Guests have use of our outside facilities/grounds at the farm, which include an in ground pool (opens, May 15th, closes Sept 15th), tour our restored 1942 Caboose Museum, horseshoe pits, golf putting green, Nature Gardens with Pond and Rock Waterfall, lighted walkways, orchards, grape vineyard, picnic pavilion, etc. All in complete scenic privacy. The view from the deck of the Stone House overlooks Little Round top at the Battlefield.

Our rates to rent each facility are:

Nov-Apr .. $325/night/facility (2 night minimum) .. $2000/week/facility.
May-Oct .. $400/night/facility (2 night minimum) .. $2500/week/facility.

All Rates Are Subject to 6% Pennsylvania Sales Tax & 5% Adams County Tax. We offer a 10 % discount when renting both the Barn and Stone House. Check in time is anytime after 3 PM and check out time is at 11 AM.

The 3 Bedroom Stone House with 3 queen size beds, 2 single day-beds and will sleep up to 8. The 2 Bedroom Barn with 2 queen size beds and a single rollaway beds will sleep up to 5. Our facilities are very nice and we would require that our guests sleep on the beds provided and not on the couches or floor. No pets are allowed in either of our facilities. The use of the grounds and facilities are for the guests that stay here.

Our 65 acre working Farm is located 5 miles from the Gettysburg National Battlefield and new National Park Service Visitor Center.

Close to downtown Gettysburg (approximately 5 miles) for hiking on the Battlefield, bus or private touring options, stores, theaters, restaurants, and Golf Courses. Lots of history and a lot to do, including experiencing a working farm complete with cattle, vineyard, herb, flower, and vegetable gardens in season, along with hay, corn/soybean crops and a walking trail to our 1700 era Old Spring Head from when Native Americans occupied the land. You can also enjoy the Pool and tour our restored 1942 Caboose Museum. You may want to picnic in our pavilion or just sit out on the deck overlooking the pastures and hillsides and watch the cattle graze. Bring your camera to capture the beauty of the area. We feel that this is one of the finest vacation getaways in Central Pennsylvania with everything you are looking for in a romantic getaway or a taste of country living with a historic perspective.

Relaxing Long Weekend at a Civil War Era Farm
This stunning 65-acre farm is conveniently located just 15 minutes from Gettysburg National Military Park, making it an ideal spot for those looking to learn more about Civil War history. However, its appeal extends far beyond history buffs. Whether you're visiting Gettysburg College, seeking a peaceful retreat for a couple, organizing a family reunion, seeking inspiration for writing, or planning day trips to Washington DC or Baltimore, this farm offers something for everyone. The property is meticulously maintained, boasting intriguing features both indoors and outdoors. I highly recommend this farm for anyone visiting the greater Gettysburg area.

Beautiful location for a family get together
There are two properties available, and we reserved both. We split our family between the two houses, which worked well for us. The long driveway between makes for a nice walk or jog for guests. Both locations had large, well-equipped kitchens, gathering areas, and Civil War-themed decor. We appreciated the historic layout quirks of the main house, and the renovated barn had some fun features - like the large but cozy living room with a relaxing fireplace and the downstairs sports den. The hosts were friendly, gracious, and responsive. It was a much better experience than other VRBO locations we have visited recently. -- Highly recommended -- We visited for our winter holiday, but we want to try out that pool next time.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend
With beautiful surroundings in an area where you can feel the history, and perfect hosts - you couldn’t have a better combination. Close enough to Gettysburg to be there in minutes, having two wonderful homes to stay in (we slept in both the barn and the Stone House, using the Stone House as our gathering point and HQ. Both were very historic, very comfortable and rather unique with historical artifacts all throughout each. Including wax figures of some of the people you have heard about in history lessons. Our only wishes were that the stone house and the barn were closer together or that maybe there could have been a golf cart to shuttle between the buildings. Please note - not a complaint but a wish. Tom gave us a history lesson our first night there as part of the checkin and it really helped us to understand what happened and where it happened. When you can go to the upstairs deck and see a mountain it is one thing. When you are shown that it is Little Round Top and its significance in the battle, it paints a new picture entirely. We had a great stay in what I will always remember as being a live-in civil war museum with a very unique sports annex (if you like sports memorabilia, heaven is at the bottom of a spiral staircase in the barn. )
