It was a lovely home! Just as advertised, very smooth, and no one interrupting or bothering our stay. Would recommend anyone looking for a quiet spot to reset.
Large cottage, very well equipped. However; we would not recommend this property to someone who cannot climb stairs. Driveway is very steep; there are several steps to navigate outside and the stairs to the second floor maybe difficult for some.
Great cozy cottage for our girls weekend! We had a wonderful time in spite of the rain. Nice porch and the kitchen is very well stocked, we had everything we needed!

Property was okay. Parking is tricky, None of the doors upstairs close properly; some coming off the hinges, others a poor fit. Recliner in living room is broken. Child’s seat in downstairs bedroom is in pieces. House was surface clean but needs a deep clean….moldy shower grout and filthy floors. Served our purpose but wouldn’t stay there again.
At over 2,000 square feet, this cottage does not give, "roughing it!" We are happy to hear you liked it and hope for you to come back! Thanks for being great guests.

Thank you for the great review! Mount Gretna is located right along Lebanon Valley Rails to Trails, which follows the route of former Cornwall-Lebanon Railroad and runs for 19.6 miles through Pennsylvania's Lebanon Valley. A majority of the route is unpaved, mostly gravel-surfaced, and is perfect for hiking, biking, running and walking!
Peaceful stay. Location is quiet, cozy, convenient to Lititz, Hershey, Manheim.

Mount Gretna is an ideal, central location when visiting Southeastern Pennsylvania. Under 30 minutes to Lititz, Hershey, Lancaster, Lebanon, Harrisburg and Manheim, too! Mount Gretna cottages are convenient, and quiet. Perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing!

It would have been helpful if pictures were posted of the indoor and outdoor stairs to this property. I have a bad knee and we took my 89 year old mother with us. The stairs on this property are treacherous. Great outdoor porch but too dirty to sit outside. The inside needs a good cleaning top to bottom. The living room furniture needs to be replaced and the recliner is broken. The kitchen was nice. Loved that we could take our dog but again the stairs!!!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, but we know 2 stars is not an accurate or fair description of this lovely Mount Gretna cottage.
Like many in the area, this property is built into the hillside - the driveway has a slope, but it is very safe, not treacherous. In fact, brand new front steps and a handrail were installed in early 2026. Several photos of the new exterior steps were added to the listing right away, but providing a photo of the interior staircase is a great suggestion - one will be added very soon. While Mount Gretna cottages are not handicap accessible, we want to reiterate they are safely navigated by guests. This cottage even has a den on the 1st floor, providing a comfortable, private sleeping space for guests with mobility issues. The owner truly puts so much love and care into this cottage - it is a beloved gathering space for many families and friend groups of all ages.
New living room furniture is scheduled to be delivered very soon, the recliner will be removed, and we will be sure extra attention is spent on the porch. This time of year, pollen is an unfortunate part of being in the woods, but our cleaning team does their absolute best to have our cottages prepared - they do an amazing job. We welcome guests to reach out with any issues or concerns anytime and only wish you would have reached out for assistance if needed during your stay.
We encourage you to read the multitude of 5-star reviews to see what so many guests have loved about their stay. We are always working to provide even better experiences, and suggestions from guests are so helpful to us.
The house was wonderful and we loved the area. Our kids had a great time. Highly recommend for families.

Such a quaint and cozy home. The big bonuses are the well equipped kitchen and that screened porch. Our family spent most of our time on that beautiful porch!
