This is probably the most well appointed property that we have stayed at, and we use STRs at least a few times per year. Elyse has done a wonderful job anticipating the everyday needs of her visitors, and provides much more than the bare minimum in regards to toiletries and other items that many people forget when traveling. She was also very accommodating to us on some small issues that we encountered. We will definitely return, if she will have us!!!

We have stayed here several times and hope to return again. The location on Lake Superior is wonderful and peaceful, but it is easy to get to other parts of the UP. And it's close to the Uglyfish Baking Company!

We recently spent a few days with the family at Captains Hideaway on Lk Superior and we all had an amazing stay. We got super lucky with great summer weather in September, at least up til the final day. The house was reasonably clean and the location is fantastic. Lots of rocks, sun, sand, and wind! There are few options in this area for this type of experience so we are grateful to have had the opportunity to spend some quality time together at this awesome property. Communication with the owner was smooth and all questions were answered in a reasonable amount of time. Directions to the property were accurate and easy to follow...and the relatively secluded beach was fantastic- the whole trip was really just a great experience and we look forward to returning in the future. Many thanks to the owner for continuing to share this gem with the rest of us

Beautiful lakeshore stay

We loved staying here. Incredible location, beautiful beach, and lots to do in the area. The house is very well-stocked and has ample room for family. Wonderful!

Loved our stay

We loved our stay here! The property was clean and had most of what we needed. Our favorite things were going to the beach and rock hunting and going to the Uglyfish bakery every morning! Thank you for a great stay!

We loved our stay stay at Captains Hideaway. The house was very clean and all amenities were provided. The location was superb, hardly saw another person on the shoreline. Our host was Elyse and she was very responsive to any questions we had. I would highly recommend.
