Bed linens, bath towels, and kitchen towels are included. There is a bathroom with vanity and shower but no indoor toilet. It does have a new, clean, private outhouse just for this cabin.

Guests are allowed to bring one pet and must be approved prior to booking. Cats must be litter trained. Dogs must be friendly with other guests and their pets, including the hosts dogs and must not bother other guests. We do not allow barkers out of courtesy to other guests. PLEASE DO NOT BRING FEMALES IN SEASON. We do not allow pets to be left unattended in cabins while you are away unless your pet is crate trained and does not bark or howl. If you place a reservation and there is a problem with your dog barking and/or not being friendly then you will be asked to leave and no refunds will be issued.
Most of our guests come here for the quiet solitude and to enjoy nature. For that reason, we ask all guests respect other guests by keeping noise to a minimum before 8am and after 10pm. As a courtesy to guests and host we do not allow check in after 10:00pm.
Due to limited space we do not allow atv’s, motorcycles, or off road vehicles at this property.
We do offer guests free use of sit-on-top kayaks and fishing kayaks here on Culhane Lake.

About the host
Hosted by Steve Bronner

Our involvement with the area began about fourteen years ago when one of us began indulging a need to run sled dogs that developed into an ongoing interest, as well as added canine members to our family over the years.
We dreamed off and on over the years of owning a place in the Upper Peninsula in the area of Culhane Lake, but the right place and the right time hadn’t presented. It was a time to for us to visit, love the area, but also have to leave for home after each wonderful trip.
A few years back a musher friend passed away, and we went to look at his former lodge. The spot wasn’t quite right for us, but the realtor told us that Culhane Lake Resort was on the market, and worth a look.
This little hamlet of cabins had clearly seen a lot of life, and needed some work, but as we looked through the trees out to the lake we only saw wonderful possibilities to finally have our own retreat in the upper peninsula.
We didn’t have to think about it very long, since by the time we made it to nearby Newberry we decided to stop off and make an offer.
