About this property

Waterfront Lake with dock and lake access for your kayak at the park.

Welcome to Serenity by the Lake, a perfect retreat where you can relax, unwind and spend quality time with your friends and family.
Enjoy a day by the lake with your coffee and a book or sit near the water and enjoy the breeze. Or you can take a short 13 miles/21 minute drive to Caswell Beach, Oak Island beaches or even a shorter trip to Southport for a day of shopping and dining or take a ferry ride to Bald Head Island. Such a tough choice to make! And if you are lucky, you might spot the Red Cockaded woodpecker, an endangered bird that resides in the long leaf pines.
Spring Lake is a no wake lake/ no gasoline powered boats allowed. During the summer time, you can watch the local swimmers, kayakers and floats in different sizes and colors floating by enjoying the lake. Imagine yourself sitting at the dock having a quiet time and enjoying the view.
Spring Lake was where some of the scenes from the movie "Tammy" was filmed.
Serenity by the Lake is located in a quiet neighborhood beside the town swimming park and a beautiful view of Spring Lake. It features a screened in patio with seating to accommodate six. An open concept design with luxury vinyl flooring, with granite counter tops in kitchen and baths. Stainless steel appliances and a gas stove. There are three bedrooms available, twin sizes, full size and queen size beds. A shared tub/shower combo on the first level and one half bath upstairs. Keyless entry for easy check in/check out.

Fantastic home on the lake
This place was amazing. It’s practically a brand new house on the lake. The amenities in the home were great. We were very pleased with what the home had to offer. I would definitely recommend this property as it has good access to the surrounding areas including the beaches and area restaurants (15-20 minutes via car). The space would be perfect for a small family — probably three or four would be best. We had a less than typical experience — where we stayed about 10 weeks as our family relocated to the area. We fit five people, but started to feel cramped after a few weeks of living here. It was not an issue for the first few days and would be suitable for a shorter stay. Most of the furnishings were designed around a family of four though. The host was very accommodating and communicated often with us. She made us feel welcome and helped us in our unique situation. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the lake house and our family had a great time fishing off the dock and watching the summer storms roll across the evening skies from the screened in porch.

Great stay!
Gorgeous home! It was very comfortable and clean. The home is centrally located to many places including an easy drive to the beach. (We preferred Oak Island.) Quiet neighborhood in a non-tourist area. We were happy we brought kayaks for the lake. The vacant property next door could use some some tidying up but added to the privacy of the property. The host is very responsive to all correspondence.

About the host

Welcome to our home. We are David and Elma Pace. We currently live in Charlotte NC. We have searched for a perfect location in preparation for our retirement. When we found this piece of land available we wanted to purchase and build our home here. This land sit for sale for quite some time before we purchased the property due to imposed restrictions by the US Fish and Wild Life and most people will not take the challenge of jumping thru a hoop to get permission. We had to get permission from the US Fish and Wild life to build because this location is a foraging area for the red cockaded woodpecker that is in danger of extinction. If you are lucky you might see them foraging thru the long leaf pines. But we persevered and was able to build our home. We hope you have an opportunity to enjoy, rest and rejuvenate while you are staying with us. We have made available for you three bedrooms and one and half bath and the rest of the living areas. For safety we have shut off the gas fireplace. We kept private the garage and the master wing of our home so we can store and keep our private belongings. If you ever have an issue pertaining to our vacation rental home please give us an opportunity to make it right. If you have suggestions please share with us for consideration. If you enjoyed your stay with us please share with everyone! Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your vacation experience. We welcome you and your family to our home!
