Nature, Comfort and Quiet moments

A Perfectly Peaceful Getaway Between Glen Arbor and EmpireWe had a wonderful stay at this charming property nestled in a beautifully secluded spot between Glen Arbor and Empire. The home was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out, offering plenty of room to relax and unwind. We especially appreciated the privacy and quiet surroundings, which made it feel like a true escape from the hustle and bustle. The property was fairly well-equipped, with everything we needed for a cozy and convenient stay. Whether we were enjoying a morning coffee on the deck or winding down in the evenings, the setting was serene and inviting. Its location made it easy to explore Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan beaches, and the quaint nearby towns.Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful, private retreat in a beautiful part of northern Michigan!

Winter Fest in Glen Arbor

Something we do every year is the winter festival in Glen Arbor which includes a chili cookoff and perch fishing contest. This place of stay worked out perfectly for us as the family cottage on Big Glen is winterized and we cannot use it year around. We still love the area, and we always come back in the winter.

When they said Handicapped accessible, I was a little unsure, however, it truly was!

The house was very comfortable and the beds were reasonable. I am in a wheelchair and I was able to get around the main floor with no problem. Obviously I couldn’t get upstairs to the loft master suite, but the back bedroom had French doors and was very accessible.

We are a family of 4 including kids age 1 and 5, looking to explore sleeping bear dunes for a week and visit some of the other surrounding area. The location is perfect for exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. It is completely secluded with no neighbors nearby (you can just faintly hear cars from the road). The house was exceptionally clean and could have accommodated an even larger family than ours. The master bedroom suite is a loft that is open to the downstairs, which worked well for us with kids going to bed before us. We tried hiking to the lake, and the huge property is beautiful for nature lovers. We did get lost briefly on the trail due to down trees in the path and overgrown brush, so we had to turn around. I called Tammy and she was very responsive about this and explained that the owners usually maintain the trail but this year was an exception. Still, it was beautiful walk and awesome to have the property to ourselves. Note for anyone with kids that this place is great but does not have any toys and no high chair or crib- so plan to bring your own stuff. Also know that unlike many cabins in the woods, there is no outdoor fire pit. Tammy was very responsive to all of our questions. For example, I couldn’t find the brush to clean the Weber charcoal grill, so I texted Tammy and she came over a few hours later to drop one off. Overall a very pleasant stay. We would definitely stay here again!

A Beautiful Maple City Home

Two of us couples recently spent 4 days at this immaculate, handicapped accessible home located right on M-22. It had a great large deck with a lot of seating, a nice electric fireplace for cool evenings, 20 acres of woods behind the house. We had some great hikes at Leelanau State Park, Alligator Hill and the Good Harbor Trail (just a mile behind our house) and enjoyed some good meals/drinks at Little Traverse Inn (just across the road), Hop Lot, The Cove in Leland. Evenings were spent doing jigsaw puzzles at the dining table, relaxing by the fireplace and enjoying some TV. I highly recommend this home for up to 6 people, a great location, super clean and owner easy to work with!

Private setting and lots of wildlife

Beautiful private property that has everything. The birds were great to listen to and I ran across several deer. Conveniently located near several smaller quaint towns and Traverse City. Located near a walking /bike path and a 1.5 mile walk to a public beach on Lake Michigan. We spent time in Leland, Northport, Empire and Traverse City. We only wish we had more time to explore Leelanau Penisula.

Incredible property!

We couldn’t have had a better time. We loved the location, the amenities, the space, the cute pic of the family any more. The gas fireplace gave off plenty of heat for a cozy ambiance. Games and puzzles for us to use. And the trails out the back of the property are incredible! So many new memories for our group of friends.

Beautiful, clean home in a peaceful, wooded setting

My family spent 5 nights at this beautiful home. It was amazingly clean, and very well furnished. The property is in a wooded setting, yet very conveniently located halfway between Glen Arbor and Leland. The drive to Glen Arbor is 10 minutes and very beautiful while also including many historical structures. The drive to Leland is also nice. Getting to the Sleeping Bear Dunes is about 20 minutes and a nice drive along the way. The beach behind the house is 1 mile, easily accessible by road, about a 5 minute drive. Once there you have amazing views and pretty much a secluded beach. Check in / out was very simple, and there was good communication with the agent. If you want a nice, clean house that is near everything yet quiet and a peaceful setting then this is your place. We would definitely stay here again.
