This property was very close to wineries and Willamette towns while feeling secluded in farm country. Great home with excellent hang out accommodations if you are looking to spend time in after a day at the wineries!
A one night stay for us and friends between visiting the Evergreen Aeronautical Museum in Mcminnville and hiking at Silver Falls. It is a special location in the wine country and is quiet and secluded. It is a home and feels welcoming and comfortable. Very clean and a beautiful garden.
Five friends stayed a night to celebrate a special birthday. The house was perfect and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and the property was beautiful. Close to wineries and simply lovely.

Wonderful place to stay. Clean, comfortable, and with beautiful surroundings.
This property was better than advertised, and I was sad to leave. It was like staying at a beloved grandparent's property, wth beautiful antique furniture and lovely glassware, but with great amenities. The bathrooms were well appointed, and the beds were comfy. The outdoor area was beautiful and peaceful as well. We didn't utilize the kitchen since we were in the area for a family wedding, but it appeared to be well furnished with everything you could possibly want or need to cook with.
Very grateful to have stayed at this home. We found everything we needed in the kitchen. wonderful atmosphere of books and art. Comfortable for movie watching. And a scenic farm. We hope to stay again for graduation
The house was spacious and the property is gorgeous and perfectly located in wine country, just minutes from one of our favorite wineries! My mom and I loved our stay and would definitely stay again!
A lovely house in wine country with lots of room to spread out and an incredible back yard. We wish we could have stayed longer and we would certainly love to stay here again the next time we are in the area.
We (one couple plus a friend) stayed at Cottage by the Woods for a wine tasting weekend and it was the perfect place. Located next to a quiet horse farm amongst the wineries we had made appointments to visit, close to downtown Newberg. The cottage had comfortable beds, nice common areas, a wonderful outdoor space, and rustic character. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to stay again for our next winery weekend.
The property was a charming cottage with porch out front for some nice hill views, or patio out back where you could watch the horses play as well. The coffee setup each morning was adorable and perfect prior to setting off for the days adventure. The heated floor on the cool mornings welcoming. The large sectional with big windows for viewing all the hummingbirds darting with the large magnolia tree was delightful. The location was perfect for the wine country exploring each day, could scoot back for a nap prior to the various dinners. The host was easy to communicate with as needed.
Storybook cottage with antiques and vintage furniture and touches, immaculately clean and welcoming. Bed linens are very nice and surrounding property is lovely and perfect for outdoor relaxing. Would return for a longer stay if available sometime!
These hosts think of everything. The home is very peaceful and relaxing. It is beautifully decorated inside and out. We were so grateful for all of the thoughtful details. If we stay in the area again we would definitely stay again. Loved it!
This cottage far exceeded our expectations. The pictures do not do it justice. It is a 10 star. The kitchen is fully equipped and you feel so at home. The home is furnished with many beautiful antique pieces. Felt like we’d stepped back in time. The outdoor spaces are amazing with a bucolic setting. Very very comfortable accommodations!
We loved our stay...unfortunately due to our family obligations for the wedding we attended we did not get to spend nearly as much time there as we had wished. Everything we could possibly need for our stay was there, it was spotlessly clean...we could not have been happier with the property. Our visits with Wilbur the cat and observing the horses were highlights of our trip. The home was so cozy and comfortable. Thank you!!
We three seniors thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cottage in the Woods. The house has been carefully and a painstakingly cared for and updated but kept with the original comfort and style. it may not be for everyone, but was perfect for us. A bit off of the beaten path, which worked well for us.
The owner was very accommodating even inviting us to enjoy their local produce, grapes, pears, apples, tomatoes.
Thank you for sharing our place with us.
The cottage is so beautiful and so peaceful! We explained that we would be having some friends over for wedding related activities/breakfasts as our extended family was from out of town. The hosts were kind and understanding, exceptional in every way. The property was more than we could have asked for and the outside area was perfect for a larger gathering with fabulous weather. The house itself fit us our adult kids and our parents well with plenty of room. Thank you so much!!
This property was amazing and was the perfect spot for our getaway. We actually live in Newberg but wanted to get out of our house for the night and enjoy a night together as friends. The house was honestly better than the photos - it was very clean and fully stocked with pretty much everything! It had a cottage feel and had lots of little farmhouse decor but the kitchen, bedroom, and dining room spaces were very nice and perfect for guests. Also, we LOVED the backyard space. It had a trampoline, an outdoor kitchen and dining area, and lots of beautiful yard space. The yard backs up to a field with horses on one side and a wildflower field on the other - truly gorgeous! The hosts were super easy to communicate with and made the process so easy. We were pleasantly surprised by our stay and would recommend this house to other people who want a place with good space and a farmhouse feel.
We only stayed one night but loved the cute cottage in the country surrounded by beautiful trees, horses and nature! The cottage itself was extremely clean and a good size. We loved the yard that was shaded and had lots of places to sit and relax. We also loved the horses just beyond the fence and the friendly outdoor kitty that came to visit.
The 2 bathrooms were small but the showers had amazing water pressure and lots of hot water!! Which is always a win! The house is filled with beautiful antique furniture but probably could have used an air freshener as it did smell a bit musty inside. Also, we would have preferred a keyless entry as the lock stuck a little and also it’s a little less convenient to have to keep track of a key. However, the AC was wonderful and worked great! Overall we had lovely stay!
The house was set up very nicely and had everything we needed!
