About this property

Skylight Cabin - 2 Minutes Away from Town!

Welcome to your next getaway! This charming cabin is centrally located - only about 2 MINUTES AWAY from Town Center! Be close to the action, but still be able to enjoy the quiet and serenity of the mountains. Spend some time in the crisp, fresh mountain air on our newly built private deck or lounge in the skylight living room to truly unplug. Then, have some fun cooking in our vibrant red colored kitchen, while the wood fireplace is going. We can't wait for you to come experience our cozy cabin!

This property has two cabins - this is the back cabin. However, there are no shared spaces. The private side deck is for this unit only. The deck at the front of the property is for the other cabin.

The driveway is a dirt driveway and it is located on the left hand side.

There is a specific area to park, (during winter months) please let us know if you are planning on bringing more than one car and we will try to accommodate you.

Check in: You will have access to the "Arrival Guide" on the VRBO app about 24-48 hours before your check in. Then, we will message you the lockbox code the day of your check in through our message thread.

Please read before booking:

- PETS: Only dogs allowed, no cats or other animals. We have a max of 2 dogs allowed. If you would like to bring a dog, please make sure to select 1-2 PETS at booking to ensure the pet fee is included. Dogs must be paid for at reservation time. If there is an unauthorized dog during the stay, a fee of $100 will be applied, plus the original pet fee. There is no fenced yard and pets must be on leashes at ALL TIMES and not left unattended in the cabin.
- Please note that there is a difference in price over 6 guests. To compare the price difference, please select 7-8 guests at booking.
- Firewood is not provided. Please stop by the local stores for firewood before your stay.
- Items not permitted with no exceptions: Events of any kind, Unauthorized Guests, EV Charging, Smoking inside or around the Premises & No fire pits/outdoor fires.
- We are in a Mountain Town, during winter months, there may be snow which might require you to wait on the snow plows (we're a small Town) or shovel your car or walkway out of the property.
- Please scroll to the bottom of the listing, click "show more" under House Rules for other important info. These are very important and we expect that guests follow these completely.

Please check the weather conditions prior to your departure. Snow chains are needed with icy conditions!

Great, spacious cabin right off the main drive

This is a great 2+ bedroom cabin off of the main drive, and far enough away to feel in the woods. 2 rooms, 2 full bathrooms and a small den that can serve as a separate sleeping area. Will definitely consider staying here again with family.

Great location!

This cabin is walkable to town and surrounded by trees & squirrels. Nice and quiet. Make sure to bring a lighter for the fire (not provided) extra towels and any kitchen needs besides basic supplies.

Nice Cozy Cabin

Was a nice cozy get away. Super close to town and was walkable. Very peaceful and quiet for the 4th of July. Just what we wanted. Definitely recommend to others and would stay there again.

Perfect location!

The cabin is perfectly located a short walk to town and a short drive to great hiking (~10min to Devil's Slide and the South entrance of Ernie Maxwell). The layout was great for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. There are minor inconveniences (had trouble turning on/off the lights) but it was the perfect upgrade from car camping that we were looking for.

Lovely stay

Loved this cabin, pictures do not do it justice. Had everything we needed for a weekend trip to the snow. Litteraly 1 min or less from town. Cozy and warm. Would definitely recommend this cabin for your trip to Idyllwild! Also the host was great at communicating and super sweet.

Perfect family getaway

We booked our vacation just week before to be able to join our family Easter ceelbrarion and it was just perfect. Emma contacted us right away approving our stay and allowing our dog. Weekend Mother Daughter Trip

Place was in a great location, Just a few things that could have made the trip better. Some of the heaters in the house didn't work. All Mattress in the room with the bunkbed could use an update. Limited kitchen stuff, if you think you are going to need it bring it. Getting to the front door on the dirt road driveway in the rain and snow is a challenge! It is very rocky and lots of large puddles, no actual walkway. Thanks for our stay!
