About the host

This has been our family’s home since it was built. Through the years, our family has welcomed many visitors from around the world into this cozy cape and they have all marveled at the beauty of the area. We hope that you will enjoy your time exploring and enjoying this little slice of heaven
Why they chose this property
Located in a quiet family-friendly neighborhood, you are a short walk to all the village has to offer. One of Greenport’s greatest treasures, Fifth/Sixth Street Beach, is less than a half-mile walk away. Sitting on this beach you can take in views of the village, Greenport Harbor and Gardiner’s Bay, and the shoreline of Shelter Island.
Less than a mile from our home is the village center. Greenport is an old-time fishing village with a modern flare for boutiques, shops, and restaurants. You can spend your days exploring the shops and wandering the town docks, stopping for breakfast or lunch at one of the many restaurants. Evenings are the perfect time to settle into one of the fine dining establishments to enjoy drinks, fresh-caught seafood, and live music. During the summer months, there is always something going on!
If you are up to exploring beyond the village area, you are in for a treat! From Orient Point to Riverhead, the local roads are dotted with farm stands, wineries, shopping, marinas and restaurants. You will also find additional access points for both LI Sound and bay beaches. Each season is distinct on the North Fork and has so much to offer.

What makes this property unique
Our home is quiet and the fenced back yard is very private. Growing up our parents enjoyed eating clams and oysters, with their favorite wine and cocktails, on the back deck, while watching us kids playing yard games like Bocce and Cornhole. Short, early evening walks to the beach for sunsets continue to be our favorite thing to do.
