Thank you, Becky, just to note the pool heat is clearly stated on the listing before you booked, and we check with all guests before they arrive if they would like to add pool heat and the cost, but you did not respond to any of our messages. You then requested it after you arrived and then failed to make payment for it without us chasing you repeatedly, and it was only when we threatened to turn it off you made the payment. Pool heat is very expensive to run and that is why it is an additional charge as per the listing, and it is additional for all vacation homes so the fact you feel this has a negative impact to mark us down when it is a standard additional fee clearly listed before you booked is not fair. It is also a shame that you did not read any of the information provided, including the fact we ask you to contact us with any issues that pop up during your stay so we can then help - we could have easily sprayed for the ants you found in the bathroom had you made us aware. They were not present when we inspected the home the day you arrived, had you made us aware they had appeared during your stay, we could have helped. Bugs and ants are an inevitable part of life in Florida, which is why the home is professionally pest controlled every quarter (shown by the fact the ants were dead, as this shows the pest control is working) but if you had reached out during your stay this would have been resolved instantly for you and not impacted your stay. Same applies to any cookware - the kitchen is VERY well-equipped beyond basic vacation home items, but let us know of any issue, and we can drop new items into you! Finally, it seems you did not locate the second AC thermostat upstairs - again, had you reached out to us, we could have helped you to locate it. Please, always keep your host in the loop, and then you would have had a great stay with all of your concerns addressed.
