About this property

200 steps to the beach and pier! Walk to restaurants. 2 or 3 payment option.

The Sandpiper Condos are located on Tybee Island's
South Beach within walking distance to the pier, pavilion, shops, bars, and restaurants.

Weeklong rentals are a must in June and July, 7 days, Saturday to Saturday.

The elevator will take you up to the second floor for
your beautiful, private, spacious, 1400 square feet of vacation pleasure with a side view of the ocean from the balcony. We have Impact/High Performance windows and sliding glass door that are up to code for coastal and island properties.

Description of Condo: Updated with ceramic tile flooring so there is no carpet. This condo features a fully furnished kitchen with Corian countertops. The full sized refrigerator/freezer /ice-maker combination, smooth top stove, microwave, and dishwasher will make 'cooking in' very convenient. There is a large pantry and extra shelves for storing your groceries.
There is seating for 4 at the bistro table, 4 at the counter, and 4 on the balcony.

Accommodations for Guests: free highspeed WIFI, cable TV, 4 TVs (a smart TV in each bedroom). The living room has a queen size sleeper sofa and 2 recliners (both new 2022), 40 inch smart flat screen TV, There is a collection of books, jigsaw puzzles, and DVDs as well as some older games: Chess, Checkers, Backgammon, cards, UNO, Skipbo, Yatzee, Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, Gestures, Candyland, Monopoly. We have a collection of mostly childrens' DVDs, also.

Several restaurants and bars within walking distance. Actually, there is a restaurant on each side of the condo.

Tybee Post Theatre - great venue for musical events and movies
Several restaurants and bars have live music.
Water Sports: Swimming, Boating, Surfing, Shelling, etc.
Fishing on pier with equipment rental available
Deep Sea Fishing
Library on Tybee Island
Marine Science Center is just on the other side of pier
Walking beach tours
Tybee Memorial Park - volleyball, tennis, basketball, picnic area, screened pavilion (must be reserved)
Tybee Jaycee Park - beautiful area with paved jogging/biking trails, playground, picnic area
Bicycle rentals and bike trails for touring the streets of the island.
Cabs will take you anywhere on the island for about $4 per person (plus tip).
Grocery stores: IGA (has grocery delivery service-check their website) and numerous convenience stores on Tybee Island. Publix, Kroger, Walmart are close by on Wilmington or Whitemarsh Islands.

It was very nice! Beds were very comfortable, bathrooms were very big. Kitchen had everything we needed for dinner in the room. Location was excellent, we had restaurants on both sides of the condo. Overall a very great experience.

Fantastic condo! The location is amazing. I was able to walk to talk of my favorites. Restaurants right outside your door and the beach is soooo close! Truly 200 steps and you’re there. Condo is very spacious and provided everything we needed to live very comfortably for a week! Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Wonderful accommodations at a good price. We were short some washcloths for our party of 5, but did not bother to call the owner we just picked some up at the local Walmart. We enjoyed the stay and accommodations and would book again.

Family vacation

This place was great for our family for the week. We came in October and it was hardly anyone there which I guess is a good thing because we have two loud little boys! We enjoyed the condo and how close we were to restaurants and stores. Host was very responsive.

Excellent Stay

Amazing property that is very well furnished and has everything that a family would need. Steps away from the beach and a number of great local food spots that makes it convenient to avoid needing to find parking. Highly recommend. Host is extremely responsive and helpful.

This condo was great. It is right across the street from the beach. It had everything we needed for our family vacation. It was large enough for our group of six and we could have fit a few more. Well decorated and has all you could ask for.

Great Family Stay

My family loves Tybee and has been coming for years! We stayed in this same building but different condo last year. Family members of all ages enjoyed this location better. The balcony overlooked a quiet alley, the pictures don't do the place justice it was very clean and well equipped for everything we needed. Great access to beach, pier, bars, nd restaurants. Never needed to get in our car. We will visit again.

100 steps

This property is not brand new but is well maintained. ( 3 bedrooms 2 full baths, well stocked kitchen) and is very near the beach. From the balcony on the side you can see the ocean. Step off the elevator and in 100 steps you can be at the beach.

We are two sisters, Kris Nilson and Barbara Metts, who are co-owners of this condo and grew up in Georgia. When we were children, we visited Tybee Island with our family and loved it. In 2005, we returned to Tybee and decided Tybee was the place to own a condo where we could visit often.

Why they chose this property

We love the South end of the island and how it is within walking distance to the pier, beach, restaurants, and shopping!

What makes this property unique

You never really need to use your car (unless you want to drive to the North end of the island). There are options of local cabs that have a low fee of about $4 per person to take you anywhere on the island (this fee may change).
