The Sandpiper Condos are located on Tybee Island's
South Beach within walking distance to the pier, pavilion, shops, bars, and restaurants.

Weeklong rentals are a must in June and July, 7 days, Saturday to Saturday.

The elevator will take you up to the second floor for
your beautiful, private, spacious, 1400 square feet of vacation pleasure with a side view of the ocean from the balcony. We have Impact/High Performance windows and sliding glass door that are up to code for coastal and island properties.

Description of Condo: Updated with ceramic tile flooring so there is no carpet. This condo features a fully furnished kitchen with Corian countertops. The full sized refrigerator/freezer /ice-maker combination, smooth top stove, microwave, and dishwasher will make 'cooking in' very convenient. There is a large pantry and extra shelves for storing your groceries.
There is seating for 4 at the bistro table, 4 at the counter, and 4 on the balcony.

Accommodations for Guests: free highspeed WIFI, cable TV, 4 TVs (a smart TV in each bedroom). The living room has a queen size sleeper sofa and 2 recliners (both new 2022), 40 inch smart flat screen TV, There is a collection of books, jigsaw puzzles, and DVDs as well as some older games: Chess, Checkers, Backgammon, cards, UNO, Skipbo, Yatzee, Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, Gestures, Candyland, Monopoly. We have a collection of mostly childrens' DVDs, also.

Grocery stores: IGA (has grocery delivery service-check their website) and numerous convenience stores on Tybee Island. Publix, Kroger, Walmart are close by on Wilmington or Whitemarsh Islands.

This condo was very spacious with plenty of room for our family of 4 that prefer separate beds. It is located right in the middle of several shops, bars and restaurants so can be a bit noisy at night, but you are close to everything including the Beach. We had a minor problem with the dishwasher while there and after texting the host we were able to resolve it in minutes. The queen bed needs a new mattress, major indentation in the middle. I would recommend this condo for a group that’s looking to be close to the beach and right in the middle of the action.

9/10...just minor things.Check in was super easy! The condo was spacious with very comfortable beds. We had all dishes/utensils needed to cook meals while on our trip. Plenty of refrigerator space as well. Loved that the condo had a Kuerig! We had a side balcony but still had a beautiful view of the Ocean. Communication with our host was great. I got a response immediately every time. The walk to the beach was short and easy even with our beach gear. Check out was super easy as well.The water gets super hot really quickly which I loved...but I do wish the showers had more water pressure. I also wish the dryer kicked off on it's own on all settings. Having the elevator was nice when it worked. A couple of times it just stayed on our floor with the doors opening and closing several times. The stairs weren't bad though so it wasn't a big deal. Overall, we had a great stay and really enjoyed our vacation.

Hosted by Kris Nilson (I live locally, in Savannah).

We are two sisters, Kris Nilson and Barbara Metts, who are co-owners of this condo and grew up in Georgia. When we were children, we visited Tybee Island with our family and loved it. In 2005, we returned to Tybee and decided Tybee was the place to own a condo where we could visit often.

Why they chose this property

We love the South end of the island and how it is within walking distance to the pier, beach, restaurants, and shopping!

What makes this property unique

You never really need to use your car (unless you want to drive to the North end of the island). There are options of local cabs that have a low fee of about $4 per person to take you anywhere on the island (this fee may change).
