About this property

A cozy new cabin in rural setting with a hot tub on porch. Beautiful rural view.

The Dale and Marguerite cabin is a 1 story layout named after my grandparents. Dale grew up on this farm (in the yellow farmhouse). The cabin overlooks a creek, and our guests are able to sit on the porch, or in the hot tub, and see a variety of wildlife and foliage. Guests can also walk the property. A clear night is breathtaking due to the rural area making stars vivid. There is one bedroom with a king size bed, and a full kitchen with pans and utensils. There are 2 TV's ( living room and bedroom) , DVD, and DISH Network. Bed linens and towels are provided. There is a 2 zone heating/A/C system providing separate thermostats in the living room and bedroom.

Cozy Little Cabin

Had a great few days at the Dale and Marguerite! Was very hot outside but still got to enjoy the hot tub and outdoors. Communication from the owners was great.

Great Weekend

We had a great weekend at this wonderful cabin. Enjoyed the family history of the property. Very quiet no intrusions. Location of cabin was far away from the other cabin or houses. Nice weekend get away.

Nice relaxing getaway

Quite remote setting very peaceful and close to Athens for shopping and food scenic trip on winding roads could tell I was in southern Ohio,very beautiful

The cabin is just the right size for 2. It is secluded so you have time to connect with each other. The hot tub was a nice relaxing end to the day. The host were very easy to get hold of and answered quickly

Two Night Getaway

Rural, peaceful setting. Cabin had everything we needed—wifi, good TV reception for watching basketball Final Four, and secluded covered hot tub. Enjoyed hiking at Hocking Hills State Park and close proximity to Athens for an afternoon appointment at Ohio University. Would recommend to friends and also staying there again.

Great Anniversary!

My wife and I loved this cabin and the property! Very clean, comfortable and perfect for our anniversary. Our dog doesn’t understand that three’s a crowd and came with us. However, she had a blast running the property. Very good to have met Dave. And very good to learn about Dale and Marguerite and the family. We loved it! Thanks very much.

Unwind

My husband and I stayed at the cabin over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The cabin was well appointed and very cozy. We loved having a bonfire every day at sunset. David was excellent at communication and helped provide us with firewood. He even gave us some small twigs for kindling and lighter fluid; so thoughtful. We'd love to stay here again next fall. Excellent place to unwind.

As advertised, and more!

Fabulous property. It's one thing to be as advertised, but the little things make this property great. Very clean, great kitchen equipment, lots of outlets, guest robes, proper towels and linens, well-maintained. Didn't have to fret a single thing as we quickly took it all in and immediately got to relaxing. Wonderful communication with owners and not a thing we can complain about. Highly recommend.
