FERNWOOD BY THE SEA is only a few minute walk to North Chesterman Beach. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, private deck with hot tub, outdoor shower, surf racks and all the amenities you'd wish for in your vacation home!
Located in a prime location, this home is a quick stroll to the famous Chesterman Beach and walking distance to Tacofino, Wildside Grill, coffee shops & more!
Fernwood by the Sea sleeps 6 guests comfortably. The master bedroom has a king bed with an ensuite bathroom. The other 2 bedrooms have queen size beds with a shared bathroom complete with a tub and shower. There is a large living room area, dining table, fully equipped kitchen and BBQ for all your cooking needs. Out back you can relax in the private hot tub surrounded by many alder and old growth trees or enjoy the outdoor shower after a day of surfing!

For those who wish to dive into Tofino's world-renown surfing, enjoy the luxury of the outdoor heated shower, hot tub and surfboard racks.
Fernwood by the Sea is the perfect Tofino home base!

Host Rules

Renter's Agreement: Guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.

Age min: must be 23 years or older to book.

Guest Limit: As per Tofino Bylaws, a maximum of 6 guests (including babies and children) are allowed. If a reservation exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to ask the guests to leave.

During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps.

3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays

We offer discounted rates on month long stay ONLY during our low season (Dec-Feb)

Pet friendly after owner approval, 2 dog max. Sorry no cats allowed!

Please note: A long-term tenant lives on-site in a separate caretaker suite as per Tofino Bylaws

Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbours and locals!

Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30 day cancellation policy. If you provide us with the 30 days required notice you will receive a full refund. If you cancel without the required days notice you will not receive a refund for your reservation.

Accidental Damage Protection: Accidental Damage Protection is included in the total cost of your reservation—there is no additional fee after booking, as it is automatically applied at the time of purchase. This coverage protects against accidental damages up to $1,000 that may occur during your stay.
Please note: This protection does not apply to damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, or negligent behaviour. It is strictly intended for unintentional mishaps that may happen while you're staying in the home.

Awesome location for surfing and beach walks. Loved the house and the hottub on the back deck. Great for little crawlers and walkers because there aren’t any stairs. We had a few issues with the cleanliness of the property, but the property managers were very responsive and quickly helped out with the issues.

Wonderful stay in the forest by the sea

Fernwood by the Sea provided the perfect spring break retreat for our family of two adults and four teens. We enjoyed the comfortable beds, hot tub surrounded by lush trees and greenery, and fully equipped kitchen. Having two full bathrooms (supplied with luxury soaps and shampoo etc.!) was much appreciated with four teens. The home is located in a great walkable location. It was an easy stroll to Chesterman beach in our wetsuits where we enjoyed boogie boarding, watching surfers and beachcombing. Very nice to be able to come back and shower off in the warm shower after being in the water and hop in the hot tub. We enjoyed walking to the café at the Wickanannish Inn to sample some of the delicious baked goods. Also an easy walk to the "shopping village" that has a coffee shop, surf gear rental, restaurants and a small grocery store. Highly recommend.

This was our second stay at this house and it was absolutely perfect. The location is fantastic - It’s a quick 5 minute walk to Chesterman Beach and the house is set up great for families. It even has boot dryers for those wet west coast days. The hot tub is a total bonus after a long day of hiking or to just relax in the rain.
