Our stay was nice. The only thing I have to say is the pictures in the listing makes you believe they have pickleball courts. That’s misleading, they do not. Other than that this condo was fine for us. We stayed for 2 nights while visiting the lower loop of Yellowstone. It was about a 30-40 minute drive to the west entrance.
Our family stayed here while we visited Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. It’s an excellent location between the two. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you!
The condo was perfect for our Yellowstone trip. It was clean, had all the basics, and a great location! The complex had a nice pool and spa to let the kids play after a day at Yellowstone. It’s conveniently located right around the corner from the market in town.
Very nice condo, we enjoyed having a kitchen to make our breakfast before we left for Yellowstone each morning. It was nice to have the washer & dryer to be able to clean our clothes after the 5 days we had already been traveling. Beds and sleeper sofa was very comfortable. Definitely recommend the condo for anyone traveling.
This was a great location to stay! It was quiet and comfortable. Check in was slick and the condo was clean. We cooked several meals and appreciated the stocked kitchen. We absolutely loved our stay in Island Park.

Great place and two separate rooms Owners communicated well when I had questions.
Apartment was spacious and luxurious. Hosts were friendly and responsive. Surroundings were gorgeous. Helpful grocery store nearby. In addition to Yellowstone, we had lovely visits to nearby Harriman State Park, Henry's Lake, and Big Springs (where we saw a moose in the water!). Nothing could have been better.
Condo was very cozy & met our needs. The kitchen was great with appliances available for cooking. We used the power cooker, slow cooker feature to cook a pot roast while we were out enjoying Yellowstone. Each evening we ate at the condo.
It was a wonderful weekend up in the snow snowmobiling. This condo was the prefect resting place. It was spacious. They were great to communicate with us. Thank you for letting up stay in your beautiful place!
Stayed in this condo while using it as a home base for Yellowstone. The location was a bit farther from the west gate than we believed it to be, but it was an easy and scenic commute. The condo was clean and comfortable. Loved the new market around the corner! It was very convenient for stocking up on our drinks and snacks.
This place was perfect for our family as we visited Yellowstone. The facility had lots of amenities and we enjoyed the pool/sauna, game room, tetherball and did some star gazing. Beds were very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Enjoyed coffee on the patio that faced the golf course. Would recommend for anyone on west side of Yellowstone.
My family and I stayed at this property in order to visit Yellowstone for several days. The drive is approximately 25 minutes to Yellowstone‘s west entrance from this place. It’s an easy drive and the property is very nice and nestled in the woods. The property has a indoor pool as well as somebody to contact at the front desk most of the day. It’s a great stay if you are visit in Yellowstone for several days and the property was extremely clean and perfect for small families.
We were very pleased with our stay at Condo in the Woods while visiting Yellowstone. The place was clean and beds very comfortable. Very nice kitchen.
Be alerted that the unit is an upstairs unit. We managed, but as we are all over 70, this additional detail would have been helpful.
Also, it's really dark at night! Finding the place was a bit tricky in the dark. Go early if you can.
We loved our stay and the owners are great!
A few tips for travelers in the near future:
1- Verizon coverage isn’t great there; 5G works best if you have it. When we were there, there was no wifi either which made it a little difficult, but that should be fixed soon!
2- There is no AC, but if you open the windows at night you should be great!
3- DO NOT lock the lock on the doorknob. Use the code to lock the door when you leave. This shouldn’t be an issue for very long as they are changing out the keypad.
Love the condo and the location!
I love having a kitchen. In the end, we save a lot of money bringing our own food and packing lunch. The Timber’s condo was Perfect for our family. We used the full kitchen like it was our home. Throw a pool in the mix along with a great location, and we were set. Things to know: there are a lot of stairs as the condo is on the second floor. My husband has an injured foot, so that was a little harder for him. Everything was very comfortable, my only suggestion is to upgrade the shower heads. Most things have been upgraded, except the shower heads, and it’s pretty inexpensive to install new shower heads. Overall, we had a great time and loved our stay!
We had an absolute blast on our trip out west! Of course, we were going to Yellowstone. This condo is located within easy reach of the west entrance of the park. Additionally, Island Park is not overly touristy like West Yellowstone, MT. Another plus.
The accomodations were very nice! Very cool at night (most of the time, actually) so we could sleep with open windows. Was wonderful to have a full kitchen with everything one would need to prepare meals, which we did for breakfasts (pancakes on the griddle!) and all but two dinners. If you will be staying for several days and preparing many meals, it is worth hitting the Super Walmart in Rexburg prior to heading to Island Park.
We spent a couple days outside the park. Daughter and bestie went horseback riding one day, and we rented kayaks the other. Regarding the latter, we picked them up across the road (US20,) drove to the drop off, then paddled down to (we saw a moose!) Mack's Inn. I then paid $30 to them to get dropped off back at my vehicle. Sounds like a hassle, but wound up being significantly less $ than had we rented at Mack's. Recommended!
Speaking of Mack's, try the Huckleberry ice cream. And the Mexican joint across the river is very good. Ask for Niko.
We knew the TVs were there, but who had the time?😁 We did play a couple of the games. We had so much fun with "You might be a redneck if..." we ordered a copy (out of print, so yikes!) that arrived home before we did.
I strongly recommend the joint!
