We thoroughly enjoyed our 9 day stay! The unit is beautifully decorated, has an incredible view of the ocean, and is convenienty located close to a pool/jacuzzi and close to the beach access stairs

Condo was amazing…. Only feedback, we stayed for 3 weeks. They could have supplied more amenities. One roll of TP, half a roll of paper towels. Sales as if we stayed one night. Would definitely come back

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location - especially if you enjoy biking. There is easy access to the street from the cliff path and the public beach access side walk. The bedrooms were comfortable and quiet, with good beds. Both bathrooms were up-to-date, with good storage and excellent water temperature and pressure. The kitchen was dated, and a lot of the cookware is old and dirty. The living room furniture looked dirty. Also, my allergies were acting up while we were there so I am guessing that someone stayed there with a cat or a dog. Also very old rusty and dirty fans in bedroom closet.

Ocean Sunsets

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were able to enjoy a sunset from our condo every night. The condo was spacious and nicely furnished. The location is great for shopping and walks to restaurants and the beach. Although, the beach is a long stairway down and back up it is a nice walk during low tide. There are several steps from the garage to the condo, which may deter some people who have walking challenges.We were disappointed that the fireplace was not working and the remote blinds had issues, but the staff at Stubb"s worked with us and tried to fix them. We would definitely return.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Was a fantastic experience. We have stayed at three different places in this complex, all of them with sea views. This is the first time with a ground floor unit. I wasn't sure if I would like the view compared to the top floors. I actually liked it better. Nice being able to walk out and no sea spray to make the windows foggy, as can be the case with higher units. One of the best patios around and such an amazing setting for BBQing while looking at the sea and watching the dolphins and pelicans. really nicely renovated inside too. Will definitely come back

Great place but so dirty and full of bugs

When we got there the unit had a perfect view and location; however, it was filthy (Dog hair, sand, food and more) and had so many bugs (ants, spiders, and another bug we couldn't identify ) all over. we mentioned it to the manager and we were told they would tell the cleaning crew. But that was not good enough for us and we couldn't just leave or we'd loose our deposit. So we spend over $300 on cleaning supplies and two days between my self, spouse, and mother scrubbing the place down. luckily the manager brought some insect spray and some ant/spider traps and put those out for us. If it wasn't for the filthy condition of the place I would give it a 5 star all around (maybe a 4 star for the pool because it was freezing water)

Great property in desperate need of a deep clean

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a remodeled condo with nice furniture and linens. The updates are lovely and well done. However, it did not meet my expectations for cleanliness, especially for a "luxury" property. The windows were filthy. The screens and the patio were covered with spiderwebs. The kitchen cabinets were coated in a thick layer of grease and were sticky to the touch. Many dishes in the cabinets had caked on food in them. The couch smelled strongly of dog and had dog hair on it, despite appearing to be a pet-free rental. A white couch was not a good choice here, it needed a steam clean and to be deodorized. The baseboards and molding were covered in dust and hair, particularly on the pocket doors. The patio furniture was rickety and old. The beds and bathrooms were very clean, though. The complex also did not live up to its reputation--the entire duration of our stay the heated pool and hot tub were filled with sand and there was caution tape around part of the deck. Many of the pool chairs were broken and were haphazardly flung around the pool. I wouldn't have been that surprised/disappointed except everyone seems to have such a high opinion of Seascape Sur. I wouldn't say this ruined our vacation, but I did have higher expectations. If it were cleaned properly, this would have been a 5* experience--if it makes sense I would totally buy this unit (if I were in the market) but I wouldn't rent it again in its current condition.

Almost Perfect

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It is a wonderful property. Exactly as described. Parking is excellent. The complex is beautiful and well maintained. Solana Beach is an awesome community. The restaurant suggestion list included in the rental packet is a nice touch. The beach adjacent to the property is perfect for running or walking, plus the Del Mar dog beach is a short beach walk away for endless entertainment. There were a few things, however, that were “attention to detail” items that were less than perfect. The vacuum was left full of dirt. Many dishes and pots and pans were found in the cabinets dirty. The off-white sofa and love seat are in desperate need of a cleaning. There were many spider webs on the patio furniture. The windows were very dirty (now I totally understand the challenges of keeping windows clean next to the ocean, but when people check in and walk in wanting that big “wow!” moment and it is hard to do because it’s thought seeing out the windows...). An iron would be a nice touch for longer term renters. The agreement encouraged sweeping the floor and a teeny little broom is provided; a broom upgrade would be nice. Bottom line is: wonderful property in a wonderful location in a wonderful community. Oh, and Pizza Port in Solana Beach, The Naked Cafe, and Cafe La Terre, next to CVS, and all must visits.

I never appreciated what everyone was saying about California Sunsets until I had a front row seat for myself the entire week. It made having family dinners at the house a much richer experience. The kitchen and house was furnished with everything we needed. If we found ourselves lacking something the property management company had an excellent and responsive staff. Kevin was amazing! He was our favorite!! We will definitely be planning another trip next season!

Loved Oceanfront Condo and View, But One Major Drawback

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Before arriving, I knew that I would have to walk 125 stairs down to the closest beach, and then back up again, or walk down and avoid going back up by going to Fletcher Cove and walking up their ramp and through city streets to get back, but I didn't know how much overall walking would be necessary. There were 29 stairs to get to the garage and additional steps to go to the kids pool and jacuzzi, or to the large swimming pool. The views and setting are beautiful, gardens filled with flowers and exotic plants, but for someone with any walking difficulties, no ramps nor provisions for assistance with beach chairs and umbrellas. Carrying groceries from the car was also inconvenient. I would only recommend this lovely condo to people for whom walking is not an issue. Also, phone service and WIFI in our condo was spotty.
