This beautiful rustic home sits 300 feet off the street, tucked in off the shores of Secord Lake surrounded by tall trees in a private setting. Home has been updated, it has a large cathedral livng room/kitchen combo with authentic field stone gas fireplace. Two large bedrooms that sleep six comfortably. Also has a large back deck for entertaining.

Quiet Cabin Location in the Woods

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was clean and there were no issues with anything inside. All the appliances worked fine. The backyard was a quiet, peaceful and private area as it backs up to the woods. Useful tips for future guests, there is a gas grille on the deck in the back yard and there was gas in the tank. A grill scraper would be nice to have to clean the grates after it's used. The firepit is in the front yard and you should be able to find wood in town. We picked some up at PJ's Firewood when we were in West Branch. As advertised, there is no WIFI, but it would be a nice perk to be able to work from this location during future rentals. This property is across the street from Secord Lake. If you were planning on using the lake, it is very low and the boat launch was closed. Finally, before your arrival, the owner will send you an email that says, "No loud music, please be respectful of surrounding properties. This is a quiet area." And for the most part it was. However, someone forgot to tell the neighbors across the street that it's a quiet area when they were having a gathering on Saturday night ;) But it was not disrupting to us in any way.

You need more storage in the two bed bedroom. (closet was locked). A few hooks to hang hats/clothes on would be nice.
