This property was lovely to stay at! Everything was extremely clean and the hosts provide everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms. The waterfront location is very special, it was hard to tear ourselves away to attend our event.
Immaculate well appointed home. Nice beach theme decor with nice views of the bay. My husband and I were not feeling well for a few days, however this stay at this beautiful home away from home was a blessing.
So clean and comfortable! Loved our stay so much! Seals visited daily and when the tide was out the crabs were fun to watch on the rocks. Cozy for napping between activities.
Hosts are amazing. Went above and beyond our expectations!
Got into town very late. Host offered to set up and extra bed for us knowing we were coming with 5 total people. Also got our sizes for life jackets while we used their amazing SUP boards. We got there in the dark. That had all the perfect solar lights to light our way to the house. Inside the house the family was amazed at the unique beach house, then we stepped out on the upper deck and were awed by the amazing views of the bay. In the morning we had coffee in the hot tub on the lower deck. We traveled to Seattle during the day and spent just amazing relaxing evenings and mornings at the beach house. Also enjoyed the solo stove the last evening next to the beach. This place and hosts were amazing. Wanting to stay again! Kids had a great time on the beach searching through rocks and finding all kids of ocean life. Also got to see a few seals in the area. Amazing. 10/10 recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed the views of the sea life, Mt Rainier and walkability of our stay here. Jim & Erin were great hosts, always helpful and communicative. We stayed two months, so lots of mail and packages that they helped us with. Thanks for a great stay!
My wife and I had an amazing time. It was so nice to relax and the views were incredible. We saw seals, eagles and porpoises! The house had everything we needed. They though of everything. We will be back for sure.
We stayed for my wife's birthday and it was amazing. We got to see the whales from the porch as well as some harbor seals that hang out just feet from the porch most of the day. We got to see 1 sea atter and a lot of birds. The sunrise and sunset was amazing. The moon came up just over the mountain. We will be getting this place again.
We loved our time in this beautiful beach house! The hostess provided us with so many nice amenities that made us feel so at home. Super cute decor, clean, and peaceful. Would love to come back and stay longer!
This property was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. Communication with the host was clear and helpful! The only recommendation I have is to bring binoculars, the view is spectacular and we wanted to get a closer look at the seals and birds!
We celebrated my fiancé’s birthday and boy was it a treat. The kitchen was instrumental in creating a beautiful dinner, we hot rubbed until we were prunes, watched seals from bed and explored the beach at low tide. 10/10 and worth every penny!
We had a wonderful getaway for our family of four. We were in the water, on paddle boards or kayaks, everyday. We sat and enjoyed the birds, seals and even porpoises from the bulkhead. The view was incredible from both floors of the house. It felt like a Mediterranean vacation, but in Tacoma 😂!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Erin is an incredibly responsive and thoughtful host. The complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival was a great touch. Pictures of the view of Mt. Rainier from the property doesn’t do it justice - we were shocked how well you can see this massive mountain. That in addition to the water and city view was incredible and made it difficult to want to leave it. Highly recommend.
I would have been delighted to stay all week. This place had everything we needed, including extras for our dog. It was the _cleanest_ place we’ve ever stayed, and I can say this with certainty because my dog tells me about every dried-up old food scrap she finds trapped under a stove. In this place, she was had nothing to report! The hot tub and the views were magnificent. The beds and couch were comfortable. I will 100% plan to come back the next time we are in Tacoma.
We loved our stay! The house is very clean and had everything we needed while we were there. Orcas, harbor seals, ships, etc. So many things going on to look at on the water (even better looking at it all from the outdoor hot tub!). Thank you for your help and suggestions, Erin. The bottle of wine and Almond Roca that were waiting for us was so thoughtful! I would recommend this beautiful house to anyone who wants to be right on the water! 🙂
This has been a home away from home! We wish we could have stayed much longer but timing got in the way. We would definitely make a return trip here when we are back in Tacoma. We can’t say enough about this house, its setting and the peacefulness of its surroundings. From booking to check out, the communication and handling of this property was second to none. Smooth all the way. You’ll love the views, the entire house was filled with everything you would need to enjoy a great experience. We highly recommend Wanderlust!
This rental is stunning! We slept backwards in the bed as to look over the harbor to witness the huge cargo ships passing during the night. There is a set-up literally at the water where we had coffee at sunrise and wine at sunset. There was a sea lion whom we named Tod. We was always in site. We also were witnesses to small oracles. Nice living area inside. Fully stocked kitchen. Huge windows facing the harbor through out. We highly recommend!
This beautiful home is like a luxury yacht suspended above Puget Sound. From the dining room and the master bedroom it feels as though you could just drop right into the sound. Everything is modern, pristine and beautiful - appliances, furniture, bathroom surroundings, linens, etc. are all highly functional and tastefully arranged. The kitchen is extremely well stocked. We stayed here for three days with my elderly mother and two young adult sons, and entertained some local relatives for a grilled dinner on the bulkhead one evening, topped off by s’mores in the fire pit. Everyone loved it. Stand-up paddle boards and kayaks were a fantastic amenity for exploring the sound and nearby beaches. Local birds and seals entertained us as we dined. A wonderful spot for a respite from the world!
What a Great Vacation Home! Go to sleep to the sound of waves lapping on the dock
This property is not only in an amazing location, right on the water in Brown's Point, but it has also been thoughtfully appointed by the owners. It's clear when you arrive that this place was decorated and created in a way that is both harmonious and likely for someone's second home. The decor is beautiful.
The freestanding tub in the master adds to the feeling that you are in a high-end resort. All of the fixtures are top-quality.
The kitchen has pretty much anything you might want in order to cook, to include good-quality pots and pans and good-quality knives, Can't tell you how many times I've checked into a VRBO to find a weird assortment of unmatched cooking implements. Not here. Not only are they functional, they are aesthetically pleasing
And this place has a hot-tub, a firepit, a huge gas grill, and real water toys: paddle boards and kayaks. Everything you might need to really hunker down and enjoy. I actually was here 4 days and left onlyu to walk the dogs or go to the grocery store. Why go anyplace when you can have a cup of coffee and have breakfast right on your own deck overlooking the sound?
Yes, there are a lot of vertical steps. My brothers and I, in the 60+ age group, found them manageable...but do take that seriously.
Also, this place allows dogs, so my fur-friends were able to join me. They even have dog towels and treats (though I would suggest maybe also a roll of poop bags). I wouldn't have booked it if I couldn't have brought them . As it was, they were very understanding of an accident one of mine had. Very much appreciated!
Kitchen and laundry appliances also very nice. Clearly some thought put into them.
All in all, worth every dime and a very satisfying vacation and wayto see my WA State family. Usually we go to Hawaii but this mini-vacay by the water was really nice!
