Minutes from downtown Mentone, Desoto Falls, and Little River Canyon. This lovely cabin has 2 beds, 1 bath and a large porch for gathering. Uniquely tucked away from the hustle and bustle of life. Set on 14 acres with a fishing pond and hiking trails. Book your stay now and come enjoy nature! Located 7 miles from the funky town of Mentone Alabama, 10 miles to DeSoto Falls, 8.7 miles to DeSoto State Park, 29 miles to Cloudland Canyon State Park. A great place to retreat in nature and unplug from the hassles of life.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
*There are 2 shops on the premises and we are located in one and the other has yard maintenance equipment.
*Tuesdays we are working on the grounds mowing, weed eating, etc.
*We are currently only have one rental. We are working on more.
*There is some construction that will be going on on the 14 acres. We will respect your stay and try and schedule accordingly.

Cozy Country Getaway

This was just what our family needed to getaway for a weekend. Wish we could have stayed longer. Favorite parts: front porch swings, very comfortable master bed, grilling, and hearing the rain on the tin roof.

This cabin was nice and very clean. It was a quiet little weekend getaway for my family and I. It was only a few miles from local places to eat, but the long dirt road did make it feel much further away.

Great unplugged getaway

We loved the secluded-ness and the lack of phone service was awsome! Our 2yr old little boy absolutely loved walking the trails! There weren’t tons of toys but lots of stuff to do outside!

Unplugged retreat

We had a wonderful stay at this cute house in the woods. It was secluded and peaceful. The pond out back was great for fishing and there are trails on the property so we didn't have to drive somewhere to hike. The house was comfortable and perfect for our little group. We loved hanging out on the porch swings and enjoying the sounds of nature. I highly recommend this place!

Unplugged A Joy

I will take the comfort of the Unplugged stay for several days anytime as the home was super clean, nicely decorated, well supplied and the King Size bed like sleeping on a cloud. I also love the woods and the drive down the dirt road. Just time to relax and unwind. Thanks to the Host for such a pleasant stay.

Enjoyed our short stay , my wife turned 50 and it just us family enjoying her birthday away from home. Our adult kids didnt have cell service but I really enjoyed not having their phones in their faces, as parents we showed them their is other things to enjoy in Mentone area!

Great house, very comfortable. Definitely unplugged.

The house was great, the bed and the furniture were very comfortable. The property has walking trails and plenty of room to feel like you're by yourself. It took me a bit of getting used to have no cellular service and no Wi-Fi at all. You have to drive about 10 minutes down a gravel road to get any kind of cell reception at all. My wife was fine with it though. Very nice place for a very quiet totally unplugged vacation.

Great off the beaten path getaway

We came down a few days to visit my husbands family for Thanksgiving. This is the perfect quiet getaway we needed. The home was stocked with cookware, charcoal and grill, firewood and outdoor fire pit and has 2 private bedrooms. Loved the roomy sofa to relax on in the living room! No wifi but we have Verizon Wireless and used our smart phones to hook up wirelessly to the tv to watch what we wanted on the smart tv when the sun went down. You’ll never regret getting to look up at the Alabama night sky and see more stars than anywhere in the Southeast! We had a sweet, good natured neighborhood dog that was part of the unassigned welcoming committee and let our family love on him. There was also a loving orange tabby bobtail cat that visited us around the outdoor fire. Would definitely recommend

We enjoy nature, kayaking, watching our children play sports and gathering with family and friends. We decided to share our lovely piece of Mentone with others.
