About this property

Nestled in the woods overlooking horse paddock, yet 3 miles to the beach!

Located in a quiet neighborhood in East Harwich, my home abuts Harwich conservation land, and a state park, with beautiful hiking trails directly from the back yard. Great for exploring nature and bird watching. There are two fresh-water swimming ponds within walking distance (5min and 20min walks), and the ocean/Red River Beach is 3 miles down the road (6min drive). Enjoy the private back yard with a deck, grill, and fire pit, overlooking a horse barn and paddock. And there is an outdoor shower for that true Cape Cod vibe. This property gives one the feel of being in the woods or country with access to ponds, while also offering close proximity to the ocean and beach.

The house is a 1700 sq ft New England Saltbox, with a very spacious kitchen that includes a dishwasher, coffee maker, etc. There are two bedrooms and a large shared bathroom on the second floor. (One bedroom has a king bed, and one bedroom has a queen bed.) The living room has a large flat screen TV with cable, and a queen size pull-out couch. There is another full bathroom on the first floor. There are window A/C units in each room. Pillows, blankets, bedspreads, and mattress pads are included. Renter is responsible for bringing own linens. (One King, and Two Queens)

Downtown Harwichport offers a lovely "main street" feel with shops, galleries, and restaurants. Additionally, there is a major grocery store, and a pharmacy within a 5min drive from the house. And easy drives to neighboring Orleans, Chatham, and the National Seashore. ***Please note: August is Sunday-to-Sunday rental***

Beautiful place to spend a relaxing vacation

This home is beautiful to say the very least, it is clean and extremely comfortable. The owner was accessible at all times and very helpful with check in. I would definitely rent this home again.

Great Harwich Rental near State Park

We loved this house and the location. Bordering Hawks Nest State Park, it is right out the back door. The local ponds in Harwich are beautiful but the beach and Harwichport is not far away. Walking, running, mountain biking in the state park was really nice. Would stay here again for sure.
