About this property
Pua Oriana: A Hawaiian-Owned Tropical Beach Retreat on Oahu's North Shore
E komo mai, welcome to our hale, Pua Oriana. The only Turtle Bay Condo owned and operated by a Native Hawaiian 'ohana, we have curated a comfortable island retreat featuring authentic Hawaiian and Oceanic art and thoughtful amenities. Steps from the Ritz-Carlton, enjoy a renovated, designer-furnished condo set within 880 acres of gardens, walking paths, golf courses and beaches as part of the Turtle Bay community. We’re committed to a memorable stay and sharing authentic O‘ahu recommendations.
The space With pristine beaches, two championship golf courses, swimming pools, tennis and pickleball courts, horseback riding, snorkeling, surfing, and miles of hiking, biking and jogging trails, Turtle Bay offers endless ways to enjoy O‘ahu’s North Shore. World-class attractions, famous surf breaks and local food stops are all within a short drive.
Pua Oriana is more than a place to sleep. Our ‘ohana has thoughtfully curated the condo with Hawaiian koa pieces, locally sourced décor, Malie locally produced soaps and lotions, and original art from Hawai‘i, Polynesia and Micronesia. To our knowledge, it is the only Native Hawaiian-owned vacation rental at Turtle Bay, and we take pride in sharing a space that feels personal, authentic and connected to the islands.
Guests frequently describe the condo as exceptionally well stocked, particularly for longer stays. The kitchen includes quality Calphalon cookware, plenty of kitchen tools and cutlery, storage containers, barbecue kits, insulated to-go mugs and several ways to make coffee, including pour-over, K-Cup and filtered drip coffee. You will also find thoughtful household essentials intended to make an extended stay comfortable rather than merely survivable.
For days outdoors, we provide beach chairs and a generous selection of equipment for snorkeling, bodyboarding, pickleball, tennis and other island activities.
Families are very welcome—our own keiki regularly enjoy the condo with us. We provide a portable Pack ’n Play, a chair suitable for a baby or young toddler, and additional items for children to use at the beach.
Inside, guests can enjoy app-connected televisions for streaming their favorite shows, Apple HomePods for music throughout the condo and a portable Bose speaker for use at the beach. Our welcome guide also includes our ‘ohana’s personal recommendations for O‘ahu and the other Hawaiian Islands, including beaches, restaurants, activities and local favorites.
Need to work during your stay? The condo includes an optional fold-out standing desk on the enclosed patio, overlooking plumeria, torch ginger, tropical landscaping and an open green space. The setting is quiet, with little-to-no foot traffic, and the fastest Spectrum internet package available supports streaming and videoconferencing across multiple devices.
After a full day, enjoy a luxury latex California king mattress, cooling pillows and 700-thread-count responsibly sourced cotton sheets. Wind down with cool A/C in both the living room and the bedroom, or enjoy a world-class cross-breeze throguh the unit.
Note on 4 Person Occupancy: The living-room sofa opens into a full-size memory-foam bed. Although the condo is listed for up to four guests, it is best suited to a couple, a couple with one or two children, or two friends using separate sleeping areas. The sleeper sofa is among the most comfortable models we could source, but like most full-size sofa beds, it may feel limited for two adults sharing it.
Guest access Kuilima Estates is part of the broader Turtle Bay community and directly abuts The Ritz-Carlton O‘ahu, Turtle Bay, just a five-minute walk from Pua Oriana. Most hotel amenities are open to the public, including restaurants, bars, golf, horseback riding, surf lessons, the beach and spa. Kuilima Estates guests also have access to four community pools. The Ritz-Carlton pools are reserved for hotel guests, although the poolside bar is open to the public, so pool access should not be assumed or guaranteed.
Other things to note Pricing and value are important considerations for any Hawai‘i vacation. While the islands can be more expensive than some newer resort destinations, Hawai‘i offers a rare combination of culture, natural beauty, safety, exceptional food and a deep sense of place.
Pua Oriana is located within Kuilima Estates on O‘ahu’s North Shore. The community was developed in the 1970s and 1980s, so guests should expect mature, well-maintained grounds rather than a brand-new resort complex. The lush landscaping and proximity to The Ritz-Carlton O‘ahu, Turtle Bay make the setting especially appealing. Inside, the condo has been thoughtfully renovated and filled with personal details that reflect our Hawaiian and Polynesian heritage.
Accommodations on the North Shore are limited, so rates vary according to season, local demand and VRBO's pricing tools. What distinguishes Pua Oriana is the care we put into each stay: a comfortable, well-stocked home, honest local guidance and recommendations shaped by generations of family roots in Hawai‘i.
Above all, we want every guest to feel welcomed, well cared for and confident that their stay offered genuine value.

I was totally satisfied in all areas with our stay at this location, and would definitely stay here again in the future. The location was just great and the convenient access to the beach at Turtle Bay was perfect.
The condo was terrific - very clean, nicely updated with new appliances and very comfortable bed. The location to the community pool was just across the parking lot. It is a very nice pool. The walk to the beach was a bit farther than expected but worth every step. Communication with Andrew was excellent.I would definitely stay again.
We had the most relaxing and amazing stay at Pua Oriana. It was the perfect spot away from the hustle and bustle of our lives. We loved all of the walking trails and the proximity to all of the delicious food trucks on the North Shore. We would happily return.
The condo was extremely clean and looked just like the pictures. Great location for being in the North Shore. Kitchen was well stocked, bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
Over the years we have vacationed at different locations around Turtle Bay. This has been our favorite place to stay, it is very clean, quiet and private. Andrew has made a number of nice touches to the condo that really makes this place special. You will love your stay here.
Great place to stay! Home was beautiful and bed was comfortable. We loved the extras that made it easier to explore the island—cooler, snorkel gear, beach chairs, etc. Andrew was great to work with. We highly recommend this property!
This place has everything we needed and more. Cooler, lawn chairs, coffee pot and pod, blender, snorkeling gear, etc. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and tbe towels were fluffy. Quiet area within a short walk to the resort.
We've had a beautyful stay of eight days and nights in this very well equiped place - even snorkeling gear and tennis rackets and balls were there.
Thanks a lot Andrew!
The unit was so nice. Bedding was very comfortable. All kitchen needs were available if you do want to prepare a meal. We mostly had breakfast in the unit and ate out for other meals. Enjoyed a quiet coffee on the lanai in the morning, and a glass of wine in the evening. The walk to the Turtle Bay hotel was about 8 minutes. We also hiked the trails to Kawala Beach, the Lost Banyan Tree, and the pillbox, which all start not far from the unit (near TBay stables) - so beautiful. And we enjoyed watching the surfers just off the hotel property. North Shore is so great. And for good eats - Pupukea Grill food truck (just E of Foodland) was a frequent stop. As well as Ted’s Bakery. And Kihuku Beer Garden. We didn’t check out any pools, but the unit had all the needs to meet a trip to the beach. Or play tennis. Or pickleball. I was satisfied enough to already be looking for dates for my next North Shore visit - in this unit. Mahalo for such a lovely unit.
My husband and I absolutely loved this location! The walk to the beach is not long at all and so enjoyable! We loved having beach supplies on hand at all times! Andrew was easy to communicate with and the property was beautiful! We loved how secure the condo was, security is going around constantly! Overall our honeymoon was the absolute best!
This is a lovely property, just as described. We especially enjoyed the very private lanai with view of trees and ginger flowers. Great bird watching!
Great bed, nice towels, kitchen fully supplied.
Central location for exploring the North Shore.
Andrew was immediately reachable for assistance, and his personal recommendations were helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Had a wonderful time. Location is great, place is clean and felt really safe, and communication was quick. It was quiet at night, other than the constant starting stopping of air conditioners. That is our single negative about it. Every unit in the area seemed to have super loud window style air conditioners.
Wonderful clean, remodeled condo at Kuilima Estates.
We've stayed in several other Kuilima condos at Turtle Bay over the years and this was one of the best. Very clean. new paint through out. modern, well equipped kitchen. fast easy WIFI. great patio. owner has lots of gear to use including beach towels, chairs, snorkel masks and fins. super comfortable latex bed. great parking spot.
Our stay at the Pau Oriana was absolutely incredible. The place was sooo clean, stocked with everything we needed for the stay and the location was just where we needed it to be. Andrew’s aloha shined bright and he was great in communicating with us. We stayed here during our wedding at Waimea valley and was a perfect fit. We would highly recommend the Pau Oriana to anyone looking for a lovely and clean place to stay at Turtle Bay. Mahalo Andrew and Jessica for everything!!!
We loved the Hawaiian and Samoan decor. Andrew, the owner, was easy to get in touch with. Anything we needed, he responded right away. Location was perfect, easy walk to Turtle Bay Resort and easy drive time to Haleiwa and all our favorites on the North Shore. Laundry in the unit made it so convenient and our parking spot was located right in front of the unit. We look forward to coming back!
This was a long vacation for us and we found that the owner had everything we could possibly need. They even helped me figure out how to get medical supplies to me when I had an unforeseen issue and needed them within the week.
The property and location and price were all ideal. Andrew was very responsive and helpful.

About the host

Our ohana has multi-generational heritage on Oahu. Our father is a paddler and diver; our mother, a teacher for Native Hawaiian students at Kamehameha schools; our sister is one of the few Pasifika leaders at one of the largest Tech companies in the world, and I (Andrew) manage the property more actively... I free dive, paddle and love to share aloha with visitors.
Why they chose this property
We are from the area, this is our home. We actually use this condo frequently.
