This was a great place to stay with my friends! We took advantage of the sandy beach and waist deep water! It’s a great place to have people to relax or hangout on the lake. I would highly recommend it to my friends and family!

This property had a wonderful location. You can walk out super far and it’s shallow, super nice for the kids. It’s sandy by the house, actually very rocky, but once you get further out it’s really soft sand. We hung out most days out there. It’s about 10 minutes to downtown Alexandria so that’s super convenient. But a big downfall is that the owners live next door so you feel like you’re being watched the whole time. When we showed up there was no lawn chairs or paddle board so we had to message to get them. Any issue we had, she fixed them, but it was odd we had to ask for things that were in the photos. All in all, we had an awesome weekend. Just seems like there’s some stuff that can be fixed/updated to make for a better VRBO!
We had a great stay with family, a few minor communication issues but nothing serious. One of the pictures shows a bunch of life jackets but I would suggest bringing your own. Overall we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Our three generations had a very relaxing fun week. Our hosts were very friendly & helpful to several requests. The weather was great for our water sports. Our first time on Lake Ida and we will be back.

Hi Linda, it was great hosting your family! Glad you had a fun time and we welcome you back any time!
This was a great property for our family to gather for a nearby wedding. The location was just right, and the lakeside setting is beautiful. The house was quiet, comfortable and well-kept, and the owners were friendly and responsive.

It was great hosting your family! You are welcome to come back any time when you are back in Minnesota! Thank you for taking great care of the property!
We were the first ones to stay at this house. Overall not bad. They have a few minor things to iron out, some fixing up to do on the house. Slept 9 adults and 3 kids no problem.

Nice property, good housr space but needs a lot of work
Arrived to a dirty house, could not put food in refrigerator until we cleaned. There were no drapes on the downstairs sleeping area and the steps to the downstairs had no gate so tough with little kids. No dishwasher which was on us, did not read thoroughly but no real dish drying towels provided for a big house. Owners live next door which was fine but kids said they felt like someone was always watching them play. The yard was great but the outside deck looks ready to rot they in places. Boat lift was not out far enough in lake and was painful to use for the week. If this property got some tlc it would be amazing but at the high price we paid, it was not.
Property was very nice and as advertised. Clean up prior to our arrival could have been a bit better as one of the beds had used sheets and there were several other minor items needing cleaning.

Hi Julie, just wanted to invite you to stay again this summer! Our cleaners have streamlined the process and I think you would be happy with the results. We have also updated the kitchen in this property so please check out the results! Thank you!
Overall we were very satisfied. However, the dock and boat lift situation was less than desirable.

Hi John, thank you for choosing our property for your family vacation. We are happy you enjoyed our lake property! We work hard to provide accommodations for guests' enjoyment, but rain is beyond our control and we apologize for the inconvenience of the boat lift not being attached to the dock. Due to near drought conditions in our area, the water levels are 18-24 inches lower than normal, which is great for kids swimming, but poses a challenge for boat owners. We decided to move our boat/pontoon lift out 15 feet, so that guests could still have the option of using the lift so they don't have to trailer their boat each night. We are hoping for rain and that next year water levels will be back to normal.
Our family has been in the Lake Ida area for most of our lives and we have made many memories with our kids. We are partial to this lake because as a premier lake in the area, it is a large, clean lake but much more quiet and less boat traffic than the chain. We decided to offer this property as a vacation rental so other families can make lifetime memories on Lake Ida as well!
Why they chose this property
Many lakes in the area offer either great fishing, quiet enjoyment of nature, or good swimming. Lake Ida has it all! Whether you are looking for a great lake house to host your family get together, coming to Alexandria for a wedding at one of the nearby wedding venues, wanting a quick weekend getaway, travelling for business, sports tournaments, or looking for an ideal ice fishing, swimming or snowmobiling weekend, this lake getaway provides something for all. Alexandria lake country slogan is 'Easy to get to, Hard to leave".
What makes this property unique
Very quiet country setting on a private road, sunsets over the lake, loons calling at night, deer and turtles wandering across the way but located half a mile from the boat launch and about 10 minutes from the many amenities of Alexandria.
