Roaches on bed and towels in cottage

The first night of our stay, I unrolled a towel on the bed in the cottage and 2 roaches fell out. Then I pulled down the comforter and more roaches were crawling around. I messaged the host on VRBO and heard nothing. I then messaged via text. The only response was that the host had not gotten the message on VRBO. No action or apology.

Response from VrboOwner on 19 July 2024
Dear Nicola, I am truly sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay at my secondary residence. Please accept my sincerest apologies for this unacceptable situation. Unfortunately, I did not see your messages on VRBO and was not reachable by phone at that time. I completely understand your frustration and sincerely regret not being able to respond more quickly to resolve this issue. I had understood that the problem was taken care of by Catherine. I want to assure you that I will follow up precisely on how this matter was managed to prevent it from happening again. I take such situations very seriously and have immediately contacted a professional pest control service to treat the house to ensure this does not happen again in the future. Once again, I am truly sorry for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding. Best regards,
