Brand new luxury home with 2 BDRs, each with private bath. Set in Old Mandeville on Bayou Castine, 32 miles from downtown New Orleans. Constructed in 2021 the property comes equipped with an elevator, a state of the art kitchen, formal dining area, and separate office. Enjoy the sounds of nature as you relax in the outdoor entertainment area with flatscreen TV, grill, and comfortable seating. Adjacent to this area is a walkway leading to a covered dock with views of the bayou and Fontainebleau State Park.
This convenient location gives access to 27 miles of a paved path for walking, jogging, and biking, traversing from Old Mandeville through Abita Springs to downtown Covington. To help you explore the area 2 bikes and 1 kayak are provided with your rental. Less than a mile away is the Mandeville lakefront which has everything from pubs to fine dining.

Weekend Getaway

What a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. If you want a weekend getaway... here is a MUST. Surrounding by nature and felt like we were taken to another place. Gated and the foliage makes it feel very secluded but was close to everything. Check in and out was a breeze. House instructions were easy to follow and understand. We will be coming back I am sure!

Cypress, at Bayou Castine

A property located on Bayou Castine at the edge of Mandeville, it is a beautifully designed home surrounded by the peace of nature, yet close to great restaurants and some of the best that Louisiana has to offer. It was a peaceful refuge and a perfect get=away.

Great 50th Birthday trip!!!

This place is nothing short of AMAZING! My hubby wanted to go somewhere for his 50th birthday, so we picked Cypress in Mandeville. Absolutely phenomenal property. The owners were wonderful and so helpful. I am already checking our calendar for a trip back. You will not be disappointed if you book this location.

The house, decks, dock & property are all amazing!! There is every amenity that anyone could desire! We sat for hours watching the bayou flow by & the wild life! The kayaking was fantastic with easy access to the water! Perfect!!

Retreat on the Bayou

This was one of the nicest VRBO properties I have stayed in. Beautiful home and property on Bayou Castine in Mandeville. House was immaculate. It was more like a retreat. Peaceful and private with luxury accommodations. The owners were very attentive to our needs which were few as this house had all the modern amenities. Would recommend to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of Mandeville.

Magical bayou experience

Cypress was beyond our expectations. We absolutely loved everything about the property. We utilized the canoe on two different morning and paddled down the bayou. We rode bikes to down the Tammany Trace to Fontainebleau State Park and enjoyed the beach for an afternoon. We watched tv below deck and just relaxed as a family. And coffee on the balcony was a favorite each morning. Cypress was perfect in every way and we will return. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Serenity

This is pur secind visit to Cypress. When I booked this vacation I knew that it was going to provide the serenity that we needed. A vacation at Cypress is unlike any other that you will experience. The owners are warm and inviting, the home is stunning, and the property provides pure bliss. We found ourselves relaxing on the dock for hours just taking in the view and sounds of the bayou. Cypess gave us exactly what we needed. Time to slow down, enjoy its beauty, and truly recharge. With most vacations towards the end of your stay you are ready to go home. At Cypress your stay will never be long enough. I look forward to returning in the near future. From here forward Cypress will always be my dream vacation.

Superb and Spacious

This is a beautiful and spacious home. Has everything you would need or want. The bedrooms are spacious with walk in closets and each has their own bathroom.Very comfortable beds and pillows. Meticulously cleaned home. 4 decks to sit on and look at the spanish moss hanging from the large trees. If it had been warmer, we would have used the entertainment center under the house more. But we did get in a game of darts. Loved fishing off the dock. The area is close to restraurants, shopping and a state park. This luxurious home is located in a peaceful neighborhood close to a marina. We definitely want to come back.

WOW! PERFECT LUXURY STAY IN IDEAL LOCATION!

This has to be one of the best vacation rentals we've EVER stayed in, WOW!!! It's new, it's luxurious and it's located on an awesome swamp setting! Contacting Marie and David was easy and friendly, if any questions or anything was needed. They provided excellent check-in information about the property from the start. This property is top notch, we can't say enough! We safely saw alligators on our 1st morning from the many decks around the house! The property is set in a quiet, private location with lush vegetation of palm trees and Spanish moss, just beautiful!. Wonderful Louisianian style food was in easy reach in town! We could not ask for a more perfect getaway! Marie and David, thanks for sharing this property! We shall return and hopefully see more gators!!

Perfect blend of luxury and nature

Amazing house and property. Every detail was thought of - bikes, canoe, kayak, ping pong, corn hole, everything you need to cook a meal, gourmet kitchen (Whole Foods 5 minutes away) and more. Lots of windows and stunning cypress views wherever you turn. Many different places to hang out outside. Multiple decks with comfy outdoor furniture, and an awesome deck right by the water. Mandeville is the perfect sleepy southern town with incredible old mansions along the lake. Perfect to view while coasting on a bike along among the 400 year old live oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. The sounds of the swamp - crickets, cicadas, bull frogs- are almost deafening at night and the perfect lullaby to drift off to sleep to. Comfy beds, wonderful showers, unique original art everywhere. So wide open and spacious. Just book it. I can’t believe a place this nice is so affordable. Dave was a wonderful and thoughtful host. We didn’t want to leave. I will miss the sights and sounds of this incredible location.

“Staycay” on the Bayou

The property delivered everything promised and then some. The place was immaculate. The art was colorful and appropriate for the bayou aesthetic. There was so much room to relax or play. Plenty of activities in the rec room - bicycles, darts, canoes, cornhole even ping pong! We threw a line or two , but no bites. The birds were amazing, waking us peacefully in the mornings. Words cannot adequately describe this rental. It simply needs to be experienced!
