Dave was a great host, helping us navigate the lake, local area and even a boat rental. Beautiful view of the lake with sandy shoreline and access to Grass River.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Dave was a great host. Everything was as described. We enjoyed the traditional, vintage cottage experience. We will be back. Thank you for a great stay!
I've stayed in this sweet cottage many times and it is my favorite! It is a true "up north" experience with the pine interior and stunning morning sunrises, the loons calling, the Sand Hill cranes flying over... love it!
My kids (12-year-old son & 11-year-old daughter) and I stayed at Dave's cottage the week before school started this year, and it was a perfect way to end the summer (I jokingly called the trip 'Camp Mommy' lol). I didn't let the kids bring any screens and it was just a really lovely, restorative reset in a beautiful, quiet setting. Dave was so helpful and kind sharing insights and recommendations, e.g. his tip re: boat rental was super clutch! We rented two kayaks and a paddle board from a marina in Bellaire and had them delivered. The price was totally reasonable and the kids especially spent a ton of time out on the water. The one thing we didn't bring that I wish we had was the kids' life jackets (the marina did supply life jackets w/ the boats, which was great, it just would have been nice to have our own).I'd pondered some day trips beforehand, but we ended up mostly just sticking around the cottage all week because it was such a nice experience. The one meal we ate out was lunch at Short's Brewing -- food and service were both top tier. I really, really appreciated that the property is a classic cottage where we could just open all the windows, play cards on the porch, and be in and out of the water. The kids both said (immediately upon arrival and several times throughout the stay) that they want to come back to Dave's cottage next summer and *every* summer, which, I agree! It's a really special place 3. Thank you so much, Dave!! ... see you next summer!! :)
Another wonderful stay here on Lake Bellaire. Dave is a great host! The lake is perfect as always. We love staying here for the older cottage feel to bring back memories of growing up spending our summers on Lake Bellaire. We already reserved our time for next summer.
Exactly what we were looking for. We wanted an original little cottage on the lake. This waterfront cottage was the perfect location. We especially loved the early morning views. It had a tie up for our boat, an outside dining area with a grill and was perfect for our lake getaway. Dave was an excellent host.
Second time staying here. Love the lake and location. Cottage brings back memories for me growing up summers on lake Bellaire. I highly recommend staying here. Cottage is clean and comfortable, lake is amazing with hard sandy bottom and host is great.

We loved this rental. It's an old cottage style house with a wonderful location. There is an amazing sandbar right out the front door and a great fire pit. Neighbors and owner are very friendly and helpful.
Cabin with a modern shower & toilet. Beautiful setting and place to anchor boat. Lake is wonderful, very deep & clean. Close to Torch Lake restaurant & limited store.

Perfect guests and now good friends! Please come back to Lake Bellaire!!
We loved the cottage for so many reasons. It had so many conveniences in the way it is laid out and the furnishings. It is simple but thoughtfully had all the necessities. We loved the lake and all of the sandy area for swimming. We were able to bike and kayak as much as we wanted in this ideal location. The owner was super friendly and helpful.

Thank you Jeff.
We look forward to hosting you next year!
Cute cabin with an original layout & style.
The home itself & decor was a step back in time - bringing back great memories of our grandparents when we would visit.
The bathroom & kitchen were well stocked & had everything we needed during our short stay.
The view was great & we enjoyed morning coffee out on the deck- a cozy little cabin.
This cottage has an amazing view and the lake is perfect for boating, floating, kayaking, swimming and just admiring the view. The cottage is a traditional cottage - full of charm and that traditional up-north cottage feel. Owner was very nice and was available to answer questions. You would not regret renting this cottage - I highly recommend.
