We are 15 minutes from Bellaire where you will find the renowned Shorts Brew Pub, delicious coffee and treats at Market M-88, the Bellaire Theater & much more! My family and I have traveled often from coast to coast and this was the best property we have ever stayed in in regards to cleanliness. We all kept commenting to each other how nice it was. You could tell the owners take a lot of pride in the home and making it comfortable for their guests. It had both country charm and a modern feel to it. It was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The property was close to town, but out of town enough that it was quiet and relaxing when sitting out doors on the patio or by the fire place. I would definitely recommend this home.

Cute and comfortable! From the start, the hosts were prompt to reply to any questions I had and check-in was the easiest I have experienced. I appreciated that the home was well stocked with kitchen supplies, kitchen towels, cleaning supplies, bath towels, body wash/shampoo, and even included beach towels! In most homes we have rented, it was up to us to bring, or shop for, dish soap and other cleaning supplies. This property was clean and well kept, and allowed us to do the same while we were there. We had a wonderful time enjoying this property and the seeing the surrounding area! We spent the evenings eating in, having bonfires, and playing euchre. In the mornings, I would walk to the lake and back. It was beautiful to see the lake on the horizon, through the trees, as I walked over the hills. I am grateful to the hosts for allowing us to have this time to connect as a family.

Beautiful grounds with paths carved around the property to check out the land. Nice quiet area. Fire pit in back that we used.Kitchen had everything we need and a large island to work on.The beds and baths were also very nice and like everything well executed.

We are originally from southern Michigan. We moved to Alden in 1998 to start our own businesses and raise our 3 children in this charming, small town up north where we spent our own childhood vacations. We love this area and how it has shaped our family. We live on 5 acres nearby the Farm House. The Farm House has been a very heart felt renovation project for us that we hope to own, share with our family & rent to new found friends for generations to come! Phil & Krista

What makes this property unique

Although completely renovated, we think you will love the charm that still resides in our Farm House. We worked hard to keep the special details you would expect from an early 1900's home. Notice the solid wood counter tops we constructed from the original ceiling joists we removed in order to create flat ceilings in the house. A large piece of the past preserved and certainly celebrated!
