The vacation home plots are surrounded by their own lawns, the houses are modern and comfortably furnished. For recreation there is a trim trail and hiking trails nearby.



Nestled between the Knüllwald and Fulda valleys lies the Rotkäppchenland in the middle of the North Hessian mountain country. The name reminds of the homeland of the Brothers Grimm and belongs to the German Fairy Tale Route. Numerous well-developed hiking and biking trails invite you to explore culture and nature, such as the railroad bike path Rotkäppchenland, the Schwalm bike path and the Fulda bike path. Characteristic for the Rotkäppchenland is also a large number of museums, which provide excellent insights into the history of the country and numerous special features.



Bad Hersfeld, which is only 15 km away, also belongs to the absolutely recommendable excursions and welcomes its visitors with a great half-timbered old town as well as numerous spa, cultural and leisure facilities. The abbey ruins are considered the largest Romanesque basilica north of the Alps and are today the largest Romanesque church ruins in the world.

Die einzelnen Häuser der Ferienanlage liegen wunderschön eingebettet an einem Hang. Das Haus an sich hat uns sehr gut gefallen, nur leider hat es so muffig gerochen, dass die erste Nacht trotz offener Fenster zur Qual wurde. Die Matratzen waren in Ordnung, allerdings sollten die Bettdecken und die Decken im Wohnzimmer gereinigt werden. Wohlfühlen konnte man sich nicht. Wir waren froh, keinen längeren Aufenthalt geplant zu haben.

Startbedingungen mangelhaft

Der Zugang von der Strasse zum Haus ist extrem steil und hat keine Treppen, nur eine Rampe (ca.10m mit 15% Gefälle), die durch ältere oder Gehbehinderte Menschen kaum begangen werden kann. Nach einer Hüftoperation vor 2,5 Monaten, war es mir nicht möglich mein Gepäck ins Haus zu bringen, dies musste von meinem sportlichen Sohn erledigt werden. Meine Frau und ich mussten uns am Geländer hinunterhangeln. Angekommen am Feiertag, konnten wir die im Haus notwendigen aber fehlenden Utensilien nicht besorgen. Es fehlte Klopapier (1/4 Rolle für 5 Personen war noch vorhanden. Im Geschirrspüler fehlte Salz und Klarspülmittel komplett. Batterien für die Fernbedienung des TV mussten wie die anderen Utensilien erst am nächsten Tag besorgt gekauft werden. Beim Öffnen des Küchenfensters fiel poröses Dichtungsmaterial auf den Herd, der erst gereinigt werden musste bevor gekocht werden konnte. Wir hatten am Abend des Ankunftstag eigentlich gemütlich kochen, essen und uns an das Haus gewöhnen wollen.
