* Welcome to The Hemlock Haus and Cook Forest State Park. Our goal is that you have a vacation to remember. Cook Forest State park is home to the Oldest Old growth hemlock forest in the area. The state park offers many educational events throughout the summer.
The beautiful Clarion River runs through Cook Forest State park and is within walking distance from The Hemlock Haus. The Clarion River was voted most beautiful river in PA and commemorated on a stamp in 2019. Spend a lazy day enjoying river there are two canoe liveries in the area (within walking distance) that rent canoes, tubes, and kayaks.
A short drive away to Leeper, PA will take you to the rails to trails bike path. Enjoy magnificent views as you bike through tree covered paths and into the fields of PA. The trailhead in Leeper has ample parking and the trails are paved and easily enjoyed by children and adults.
The Tree House is a second story cabin that sleeps 6. The cabin has a kitchen, dining area, living area, two bedrooms and a bathroom. In addition it has a fire ring and firewood is provided.

All Hemlock Haus Cabin stays require a signed rental agreement (signed within 24 hours), a security deposit, and a valid DL.
To ensure the quality of your stay and of future guests, the following is a list of house rules for your stay:
We love hosting children however children must supervised children at all times. This is a second story unit and it presents a fall risk. Screens on windows will not prevent falls and cabin is not child proofed in any way. You are renting at your own risk. You may want to consider our first floor unit, Mountain Mama.
No smoking indoors or on balcony. Please feel free to smoke outside in open areas and fire rings,. Smoking indoors will forfeit your deposit and cause immediate termination of your stay with no refund. Owner is allergic to cigarette smoke.
Please Do not remove bath towels from cabin. Please bring towels for water activities, if you forget yours you can request towels from us.
Please do not chase chicken flock.
Fires must be put out before going to bed or leaving property. Please do not bring firewood from outside the area (State Park Rule), we will provide you with firewood during your stay.
Quiet time is from 11pm-7am, please be respectful of other campers, no loud music.
For your comfort, we treat the well water. Water is treated between 2 am and 6am. Please don't use water or flush during those times.
All dishes must be washed and put away, grill cleaned, and all food and trash disposed of before you check out. Please secure trash cans so wildlife will not get into them.
We have a septic system. You can not flush ANYTHING other than toilet paper. No condoms, qtips, flushable wipes, tampons, gum, etc must be thrown in trash can.
