About this property
Stunning Views from gorgeous loft on historic waterfront
The historic Corthell & Gardner building, overlooks Passamaquoddy Bay, the island of Campobello and Eastport's working waterfront. The Crow's Nest is an 1150sf loft embracing the building's history and designed for comfort and luxury. Watch for whales, loons, harbor seals and our lobster fleet from the privacy of your own deck in the United States' Easternmost City. Run down to the first floor for a craft beer from Horn Run Brewing or a glass of great wine at Phoenix Fine Wines. Perfect for artists, writers and couples looking for a romantic getaway. The Crow's Nest is a third floor loft and requires working knees and hips! The Crow's Nest can sleep four with a pullout couch but is genuinely most appropriate for singles or a couple.

The property and location was much better than I expected. A great place to spend a couple of weeks if you’re looking to be away from the crowds. We explored approximately everything around a 40 mile radius from us and was not disappointed. As the owner said, you’re three flights of stairs and it’s a working harbor. Things start in the harbor around 4 AM. A little getting used to, but absolutely wonderful views and location.
We are returning guests and can’t say enough good things about our stay and our host! Spacious and clean loft with a gorgeous balcony view, cloud-like comfortable bed, great shower pressure and a fully stocked kitchen, not to mention our host was amazing - what more could you ask! Our host also has a wine bar right downstairs: Phoenix Fine Wines, which we highly recommend! Local shops as well such as a brewery, cocktail bar, sandwich shop, coffee shop, art galleries, a lobster roll takeout place, and Maine-made products, all within walking distance, plus the bonus is being able to support local businesses! Eastport is a great location for doing trips farther afield whether going over to Canada or walking the trail at West Quoddy Head Lighthouse. Looking forward to returning to this beautiful part of the world! 10/10!
The sunrises here are some of the most beautiful I've seen. This 3rd floor loft is large and spacious with beautiful wood throughout and some of the original details from the building's former life. We could have spent a week here just watching the lobster boats come in and out, but there were also things to do, see and eat nearby, so we did all of that. I have been visiting Eastport since the 1970s and have watched through many phases. The current businesses in Eastport are wonderful, from the wine bar downstairs to the brew pub, bookstore and coffee shops. You can walk to all of them and enjoy this beautiful town. Our host, Laura provided everything we needed for our stay. We got to eat at the Phoenix Wine bar downstairs on our last night and I will think about the potato leek soup for a long time. Wonderful stay and we will count down the days until we can return.
The perfect spot right off the water. Easy access to everything. Great accommodations, and an amazing view from the deck. Much better than staying on the other side of Water Street, IMO.
We really enjoyed the stay at this property. We met Laura at the wine store (ground level) and she was great. The view was amazing and Eastport is a happening little coastal town. We’ll be back!
Staying in The Crow’s Nest is an absolute delight. The apartment is clean, spacious, and in a wonderful location in Eastport. Sunrise over Campobello (visible through the windows to the deck) is always spectacular. Laura is a gracious host, and does everything to ensure that you have a comfortable stay. Truly one of the best VRBO rentals I have ever stayed in!
Our first trip to Maine. Enjoyed the laidback vibe of Eastport. This property was beautiful and has fantastic access to the area. Really enjoyed our stay.
This property was extremely comfortable with very beautiful views of the harbor. All furnishings and appliances were top notch, would highly recommend this loft. Having the brewery and wine bar on site was a bonus. We enjoyed the Waco Diner on Taco Tuesday, delicious 😋.
Property manager was very friendly and the Crowsnest was perfect. Great view of the harbor.
Room was clean with all of the amenities.
Looking forward to our next visit.
The apartment has an amazing view and you have the benefit of walking downstairs to the lovely wine bar. We had a great time and visited with local friends. We love Eastport!
Laura’s loft is a fabulous place to stay. I went for a late winter getaway, and the loft was clean and bright and warm, with the world’s best bathtub. It’s right in the middle of town, close to everything. Great walks, great views, and very peaceful and quiet at the end of the day.
Beautiful and comfortable apartment with exceptional views!! Location in heart of town makes for easy access to town and harbor! Could not have been more pleased! Highly recommend!
Our stay at Laura’s property was absolutely wonderful. The Crow’s Nest was lovely and beautifully appointed. Laura was the perfect host and communication was prompt. Not to mention, her wine bar on the first floor was charming! We look forward to a return trip!
Laura is an attentive host with an absolutely wonderful place to stay. Downtown Eastport, ME is a beautiful port town with quaint down east charm. This property did not disappoint with amenities and stunning views of the ocean and surrounding islands. Watching the sunrise from our deck overlooking the water was the perfect start to our day. The unit is gorgeous inside, very spacious and newly renovated. Simply amazing.
This property was new, clean, and gorgeous. It offered an amazing view of sunrise over the bay, complete with balcony and good coffee. Very comfortable and right in the quaint downtown of Eastport. We would go back.
What a wonderful place to stay! The Crow’s Nest is sparkling clean, and has everything you need for a terrific getaway (including a wine store and wine bar downstairs!). Laura was extremely kind and hospitable, and has really thought of everything to make her guests comfortable. One of the nicest VRBOs I’ve ever stayed in!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
The Crow's Nest was just what I needed! I had to work remotely during my stay but it was hardly work as I enjoyed the views. I slept so well and felt like I was at home but without the daily pressures! Located in the heart of down town it's easy to pop out to grab a bite to eat or a drink. To shop or visit galleries. I highly recommend the Crow's Nest!
We LOVED every second! Everything about Eastport was memorable! Laura is a pure joy! Spend time with her… you won’t regret it. We met lovely people that we will treasure for a lifetime. The rental was fabulous. We can’t wait to come back!
The Crow’s Nest apt is in a perfect location in downtown Eastport with a beautiful view over the water and over to Campobello Island. Laura is a gracious host who will inform you about all the wines she has available downstairs at Phoenix Fines Wines, where we also had a glass of the best wine and wonderful cheese board for a light snack and terrific view from a gorgeous sitting room.
We had the most relaxing time staying in the Crow's Nest, perched above historic Eastport. The view doesn't get any better! The apartment is great -- love the open format and large, equipped kitchen. Although we miss Bocephus and Quoddy Bay Lobster, mainstays like the Happy Crab, along with the Phoenix were excellent. Recommend checking out karaoke at the new Cannery restaurant and bar on a Friday night. Can't wait to come back again!
