Great house. Our 4 generation vacation was wonderful. With plenty of space for each person to relax and more important to us, great space for all of us to be together. Plenty of space and seating in the dining room for diner together, game nights, laughing and creating family memories. Pool and lounge chairs were perfect. While this is a lakefront property, the dock is not easily accessible. The home is beautiful and has everything you need in every room. Wonderful host.
Overall, this was an excellent place to stay. The house is as beautiful as it appears in the listing, and we loved the privacy of the place. There was plenty of space for our whole family, and we loved the pool and game room. The property manager was responsive and communicated with us throughout the week when we needed to know anything. It is definitely a place we would consider renting again.
The Bluebird Lake House was perfect for our family of 13. Our grandkids loved the pool! The lake exceeded expectations for our fishermen and kayakers. Evenings found us making s’mores at the fire pit, watching baseball in the media room or enjoying conversations and relaxing beneath the pergola. The kitchen was well equipped and having 2 washers and 2 dryers in the mud room was great. Property manager Courtney was always willing to answer questions and gave us loads of info about the area. Family voted unanimously to book a week at Bluebird for 2027.
If you are looking for a relaxing place to get away, this place is the spot. Spacious cabin with great views of the lake. Secluded property ensures privacy, while you enjoy all the amenities of cabin and grounds. Between the: game room, hot tub, fire pit, amazing chef’s kitchen, and theater room you’ll always have something to do. Close to downtown Culpeper, where you can enjoy really good restaurants and shops. For history buffs, there are several historical sites to visit that a short drive from the cabin. Also, there are numerous wineries and breweries nearby to enjoy.Overall, I can’t recommend the cabin enough. Whether you’re visiting family/friends or just looking for a place to unwind for a few days you can’t go wrong with the Blue Bird Cabin.
My family and I stayed here for a long weekend. Everyone loved the accommodations, comfortable beds, amazing kitchen, and amenities. Highly Recommend this stay. Cori was very helpful, responded quickly, and has thought about every detail in this house
We had a great visit. The house is well stocked, very beautiful, and the property is amazing. Cori was easy to reach throughout our stay with the few questions that we had.
Our family enjoyed our week stay. The house was very spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. The house had many games, books, and movies to choose from for the few days we had some rain. The pool and hot tub were great. Courtney, the property manager, was very quick to respond when we had questions.
The property was beautiful, just as pictured. Amazing gourmet kitchen - we love to cook on vacation. Pool, hot tub and lake access all fabulous. Great communication with the owers. We had a perfect family vacation!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The house was first rate with all the amenities and we especially loved the pool and thankfully the weather worked for us. The house is also close to town and everything else we needed. We've already been recommending it to others!
Beautiful home, lovely lake view, hosts were very responsive to questions and concerns identified during the stay. Would definitely recommend. If you're thinking of renting, don't hesitate, go for it!
The house was awesome for all of our guests. Everyone from seniors to new parents with young children. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were convenient and comfortable. The media and game rooms were the absolute best. The kitchen was a chef’s dream as we cooked many meals there. The pool and hot tub added a very special element that we enjoyed, and the fire pit a special ambiance at night that we enjoyed. There is plenty of parking. If you’re hosting a family get together, you will have zero regrets staying here.
Cori (Host), has been phenomenal. Very quick to respond and ensured we had everything to make our stay pleasant.

We loved having you and your family, Naga! Hope to host you again in the future.
The home is beautiful, it was very clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. The location is beautiful. The lakeside view was really relaxing and the outdoor amenities (hot tub, pool, firepit, patio seating) were excellent. It was secluded, but also not way out there. All our family (adults and little kids) had a blast.
Enjoyed the stay at Blue Bird Lakehouse. Kids loved the hot tub, pool and kayaks. Adults loved the privacy and peaceful surroundings. Weather not great several days so did local shopping, played in awesome game room and watched movies in the awesome theater room. Perfect for a family reunion, had a great time.
I honestly cannot say enough great things about this property. This is one of the best houses we have ever rented. All of the rooms were beautiful and exactly as described. The pool was amazing and accommodated our large group of 15. The lake was a bit of a hike but still gorgeous through the trees. It had any amenity that you could ever want from the outside, to the game rooms to the kitchen. It felt like a lot of care was taken from the owners to provide a great experience for their guests and we had a GREAT experience. Would definitely stay here again.
An amazing property! The setting was gorgeous and house was spectacular! Our host couldn’t have been nicer. The perfect spot for family time. We were in the area for a wedding and the fully stocked kitchen was a dream to cook in. All ages LOVED it. We will definitely be back! Thank you SO SO much!
Great home base to explore the area - and stay in when it rains
The house was impeccably maintained both inside and out! Our friends and family were all super comfortable and enjoyed making use of the amenities. The house is also super dog friendly, including a fence around the property! The main downside was the bunk room didn't have its own shower, so if you have a lot of people staying in there, just make sure the other folks upstairs are prepared to share their ensuite bathrooms.
