This studio apartment is in a Victorian cottage built in 1900. Although the apartment is in the basement, it gets lots of light through it's many (9) windows. It's 440 square foot footprint is comfortable for 1 or 2 people. The kitchen is outfitted with pots, pans, silverware and glassware. Because it is a basement unit it is not suitable for guests over 6'. The bathroom has a shower but no bathtub. Both the toilet and shower are elevated. The washer and dryer is accessible to the upstairs guests. The studio unit is private.

This house is 10 minutes to Seattle's Capitol Hill, Madrona and Madison Park neighborhoods and Downtown Seattle. Public transportation is 1 block away which makes it convenient to all that Seattle has to offer. Nearby amenities include a coffee shop, a restaurants, Central Cinema, supermarkets, a pilates/yoga studio.

Convenient location

It got everything we needed for our stay including a full kitchen and laundry room. Note that you have to go up and down steps to access the unit and bathroom. It has limited lighting and stays cool, but it was not a problem since our stay was during summer. Depending on the guests renting the ground level, you might hear lots of noise from upstairs such as kids stomping and crying. Location is great. Nice to walm around. 30 min walk to downtown or CID.

Wonderful little spot, very clean and had everything we needed. Cindy and Jose were very accommodating and even let us keep our bags at the house after checking out, since we had a late night flight. We had a wonderful stay!

Great Efficiency near Downtown

Great basement apartment in a nice neighborhood. Very convenient and walkable to restaurants, groceries and transportation. Nicely appointed to make this feel like a home away from home. Comfy place to stay

The hosts were kind and communicative. The unit was comfy and clean. The only thing to be aware of is stairs to get up and down from the unit, so definitely be aware of that if you use mobility aids or otherwise struggle with stairs.

This property is basically a studio apartment. It’s a very cozy, comfortable place to stay. I stayed here after having major surgery to recover. For us, it was close to the hospital. However, its convenient location near shops, restaurants, churches, etc. makes it an excellent place to stay no matter your reason. The quiet neighborhood is also a plus.

Cutest little apartment!

My sister and I stayed here for 4 days while in Seattle for a Missy Elliott concert and we would have to say it was one of the most convenient locations! We opted to take the Lime scooters around town because we were never more than a 20 minute ride to all the places we wanted to go! The neighborhood is so sweet and we felt very safe riding around! We would definitely recommend staying here and will be back again!

Great location close to capital Hill area

Easy walking to capital hill and surrounding area. Nice kitchen in the studio lower level flat. Of note, bathroom may be challenging for large and tall people, worked fine for me.

Great basement studio

Check in/out was easy. It looks just like the pictures. The location is very nice. There are lots of little details that help make the stay more comfortable, including access to a washer/dryer. You can hear when people upstairs walk, so I wouldn't recommend it for a light sleeper, and the shower and toilet are elevated, which is a little strange but fine. Overall, a great stay.

Family Visit

Perfect location for visiting family who have an apartment in the Central District. Unit was clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed walking to Katy's in the morning for coffee with sightings of Ana's Hummingbirds in a roadside garden and Bewick's Wren in the house shrubs. Easy, although hillly (this is Seattle), walk to PCC and restaurants around 23rd St. Outdoor lighting on sensors worked well when I returned at night. Heat and hot water worked well. The listing is accurate so be aware of the low ceiling and the step up toilet and shower. I did not find those quirks to be any problem. I hope to stay here again the next time I visit. Very happy I found this place.

Perfect cozy studio in a great location!!

We enjoyed our stay in the studio at this house property for our Seattle vacation. Both my wife and I were celebrating our birthdays for a long weekend and the hosts were very welcoming. The Birthday chocolate was very much appreciated! The studio itself is very clean and just what we needed. The location is only a couple of kilometres away from downtown, and having our bikes with us allowed us to explore around Seattle easily without having to take the car. The studio has everything you need and Cindy and José have put together a book of local things nearby—very helpful and answer any questions right away. The studio is conveniently located close to lots of restaurants and coffee shops. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend! Thank you Cindy and José!

Overall, the property was satisfactory. However, they were some deficiencies . The major one was the location of the toilet elevated, approximately a foot above the bathroom floor. This was inconvenient for me especially during the night when I was not as alert. It’s unusual arrangement. should’ve been pictured accurately in the listing. Other issues included a very old toaster that should’ve been updated; and the lack of sharp knives.

Great location with so much to do in the area it made for a very enjoyable trip. The place is an and older property, but it feels very homey. There are some low ceilings so if you’re super tall, it may not be a fit and the toilet is on a pedestal so make sure to look at the pictures for that. Loved the communication with the host they were super responsive through the whole process. Would definitely stay here again my next trip to Seattle

Incredibly clean, well-provisioned, great and very convenient neighborhood (grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants withing easy walking distance), off-street parking, laundry, lovely hosts. I was here for 12 days for medical appointments and so appreciated having this cozy spot to come home to. Wonderful and affordable, and sooo clean which I really appreciated - would absolutely come back. Also, I got to meet Cindy briefly in passing - she was so kind and went out of her way to make an early check in possible. Highly recommend :---). Thank you Cindy and Jose!

We got a whole suite to ourselves, super private, in a really beautiful neighborehood. Downtown has its own charm, but you really cant beat the beauty of this area. It's a short drive into town, and the cafe (Katy's) on the corner is such a gem. Cant recommend enough! :)
