There is no ocean view from miles away, here, you can roll out of bed to the beach in your pajamas, and feel the ocean breeze while enjoying a morning coffee. See the monkeys, sloths, birds and iguanas without having to pay for it.

Villa Ardea Alba has 5 on suite bedrooms (1 bedroom accessible via external staircase) a large living room / dining room with access to the garden, a bright, open kitchen, a separate guest toilet, and the pantry with laundry facilities. This estate offers a high level of living comforts. The large sunny terraces are perfect space for a relaxing morning coffee, or barbecue party. The property features locally hand made wooden bathtub and wooden vanities, classic large kitchen equipped with all necessary kitchen aids, mini bars in common living areas, and cool-keeping roof panels. Each bedroom has AC/fans/TV/WC/Wifi. The property also offers ample space for personal home office. Amazing house and location!

We can’t say enough great things about this place! From the owner, to all the staff and the location, it was truly the best! We were greeted with lots of complimentary food and drinks. The house had everything you can need for your stay and for the beach across from the street. We loved our time and would definitely come back!

Idyllic Stay in Playa Matapalo

This place has it all - fantastic beach with best sunsets, wildlife (sloths, monkeys, etc), and proximity to some of the best areas to visit (Uvita, Manuel Antonio, Rio Savegre, etc). Beautiful home and excellent host. Highly recommend!

The property was beautiful. We saw monkeys, scarlet macaws, lizards and hummingbirds. The beach was very close, the water was warm and there were hardly any people on it. There was a ton to do not too far from the house. I would definitely recommend! The owner and property manager were great and very helpful.

Costa Rica Life

The property and neighborhood were exactly what we were looking for! We felt completely immersed in Costa Rican life. Elisabeth's tour suggestions were spot on, and we especially loved the horseback riding tour on the beach with Angel—his tour is a must if you stay here! We saw an incredible variety of wildlife, from sloths and monkeys to caimans and birds by the pond. The chef services were such a treat—no more expensive than eating out, but so much more fun! Didn't want to leave and we are looking forward to our next trip!

This house is spectacular. I cannot say enough good things about it. Everything was perfect. The service is the cleanliness and the privacy is spectacular.If you’re looking to enjoy some peaceful time with your family while you’re close to the beach and have a private pool, this house is for you. Excellent stay

We spent 11 nights and loved every minute of it. We were 3 couples in our 60s and found the house very spacious, beautiful, and only a couple of minutes by foot to one of the nicest beaches in Costa Rica. We have seen many and this one tops them all. House is very well equipped, comfortable, and pool area amazing. We also enjoyed to watch the monkeys every morning as well as many species of birds. All in all enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to come back.

This rental is exactly as pictured. The hosts are wonderful answering any questions . The area is remote do you really get a nice experience of the culture. The views of wildlife and the beach are stunning. Plenty of space to be extremely comfortable with 7 or more. Definitely need a car as they suggest. Something for everyone pool, beach, authentic culture, wildlife. Hands down will stay again

Amazing host and Property!

My wife and our six children stayed here for 5 nights and we absolutely loved it. Matapalo is so beautiful and quiet and conveniently located between Quepos and Dominical. We loved the house and never got tired of being surrounded by nature. We were able to see monkeys, parrots and macaws all from the property. The actual house was beautiful as well and so well stocked , to include beach chairs, towels, toys, boogie boards, googles, bikes, and more. The kitchen also came with a small assortment of food to include some fresh fruit; such a nice extra touch. The host and the staff were absolutely fantastic as well, providing so many extra nice touches and making sure our stay was perfect. I cant recommend this place enough and were definitely hoping to return!

Beautiful Property

The house was amazing, clean, and relaxing. Elizabeth (the property manager) was very informative and quick to respond to any inquiries we had before and during our stay. This house is a hidden gem and located in a very quiet environment, which is exactly what we were looking for. We saw two sloths, parrots, and numerous monkeys on the property grounds. We loved every moment of it! Only minor mishap we experienced was no hot water in the master bedroom but that didn’t ruin our stay whatsoever.

Perfection!

This property is beautiful and even nicer in the pictures. Each room is luxurious with its own bathroom. Everything you need is provided and they even have a closet of items you can buy for things that you forgot. For the kids, they provided boogie boards and beach toys. The short walk to the beach is lovely with butterflies and birds flying around. The beach was empty and just beautiful! The sand is soft and we couldn't have asked for more. Wow! We stayed in Malwina's home for 4 nights for our 50th anniversary with our family, more than enough room for 5 adults and 2 children to stay comfortably. Everything about this home was better than expected! Communication before and during our stay was excellent. Elizabth met us at the house and showed us around, and left us a cake and prosecco, as well as all sorts of breakfast items, fresh fruit, etc.The location was very private and quiet, except for the sounds of the birds and other creatures, yet not a far drive from Domenical or Quepos. We loved the outdoor spaces, the porches, pool, gardens, and a quick walk to the beach, which we had almost to ourselves.We did not want to leave, and they were kind enough to let us check out late.We highly recommend staying here, probably the best home we have ever vacationed in!Everything about

Thoughtful Details

Our family of five stayed here, but the house could easily accommodate 2-3 families comfortably. After excellent communication from both the owner and property manager, we were promptly greeted by the property manager, Elizabeth, upon our arrival. We appreciated how she took appropriate time to show us the necessities but was courteous of our privacy and left immediately after the brief (but thorough) tour. The photos of this place do not do it justice. It’s stunning with every detail thought of… from the pool towels to the beach towels, body boards to borrow, books, board games, laundry access, a thoughtful gift of sun products …I can’t even list all of the things. The well appointed kitchen was stocked with snacks and even pasta/sauce so we decided to whip up our own little dinner the first night after enjoying the pristine (almost private it would seem) beach. By far, the best beach we visited during our entire trip. We hope to stay here again should we make it back to the area.

Wonderful

This property was exactly as listed and more. We stayed for 6 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The house has everything you need, including a compressor that came in handy when we discovered one of the tires on our car rental was very low. Beds are comfortable and the covered patio was a favourite hang out. Because it was very hot during our time there, we wish the pool had a cooling system. The pool was the main reason we chose this house. The water was very warm, bordering on hot so therefore not refreshing at all. We still rate this amazing house a 5 star for its amenities, proximity to the beautiful (and very quiet) beach and for the group of monkeys that came for a visit during our last day. Highly recommend.

Fantastic property

The house was everything advertised and more. What a beautiful house and grounds. The owners representative, Elisabeth, met us at the property and showed us around. There were many included gifts such as nice bottles of wine, champagne, rum, etc along with supplies like eggs, cereal, pancake mixes, and others too numerous to mention. What a great surprise. They even had a cake to celebrate a special occasion we had. The property has a great pool and spa and is across the small street from the beach. Included are beach chairs, towels etc. The wildlife is numerous and beautiful around the property. We saw many monkeys, a sloth, and numerous macaws, toucans and other beautiful birds. There are restaurants and small markets close by. Overall it is a fantastic place to stay and close enough to many activities like Manual Antonio ( so glad we did not stay there). Loved the property, owners rep, and the owner.

Peaceful and Tranquil staycation

Villa Ardea Alba is the perfect spot for a peaceful and tranquil staycation. My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Villa Ardea Alba over a long weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This home provides luxurious and extremely comfortable bedrooms with bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. What made us feel even more welcome was not just the inviting warm living room, but the little gesture of having a few food items to sustain us with our late check in. The front of the property provides the sights and sounds of waves crashing on the shores in front while the back of the house is home to beautiful scenic views of the fields and mountains afar. And if that does not satisfy your appetite for relaxation, you can go for a swim in the pool under the stars. And lastly we would like to appreciate the host and hostess of this lovely villa for making us feel so welcome during our stay. Hygiene is of utmost importance to us and this is exactly what we were provided with.

Great stay!

We stayed 5 nights in late November. This house was probably the best equity rental home we ever stayed in. Lots of pool/beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys, boogie boards, umbrellas, books, games, etc. we cooked several meals here and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The dark sand beach was beautiful and peaceful. Quick walk as advertised. Waves were good for kids to body surf/buggy board. It felt like a private beach. It was incredibly clean. We saw tons of wildlife at the house. White faced monkeys, a sloth, 2 types of toucans, macaws, frogs, iguanas, and lots of other birds. The back yard was wonderful for lounging in the pool and watching the birds and monkeys moving through the trees on the property. The house was more than big for 10 of us (4 kids and 6 adults). There are several sitting areas and 2 large balconies providing space for everyone. It is located on a very quiet street in a small, quiet town, truly a retreat. We went two restaurants near by which were fine for a quick bite. There is a convenient store down the street with a decent selection of basic items. The host and property manager were so attentive and helpful. We would definitely go back!

Amazing!

Words cannot express how amazing our stay was with Malwina and Elizabeth! First off, we informed then of two birthdays that we were celebrating and walked Into a home with a birthday banner, cake and multiple bottles of Prosecco! The house was fitted with some many comforts, I can't even list them! The fridge was stoked with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, some breakfast staples and other comforts made our first impression one for thr record books! Elizabeth (Property Manager) was incredibly thoughtful and responsive throughout our stay! We had a couple of minor issues with the pool and hot tub due to a storm but Elizabeth was quick to respond and fix where she could! Pepe and Esteban (gardener and pool man) were fantastic , friendly and professional ! Overall, amazing visit and would surely recommend then to anyone!!! A diamond for sure in the VRBO world!
