This was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin is beautiful, very clean, well stocked! Beautiful property and really enjoyed waking up on the back porch watching the sun come up.

Cabin is terrific and spacious. Peaceful and quiet. Great front porch to sit and watch the firepit flames. Most amenities are provided but would suggest shampoo, soap and coffee creamer be provided. The gravel road leading to the cabin driveway entrance is quite narrow. The driveway to the cabin is steep. I have a rear wheel drive truck and had to switch to 4 WD to get up there. Never did find the property trail nor a sign for it. Make sure you take what you need because stores and gas are a long way off.

We stayed at The Deerling for our 33rd anniversary weekend and absolutely loved it! The cabin was spotless, cozy, and well-kept — everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The peaceful setting and beautiful surroundings made our stay truly memorable. We’re so glad we chose this place for our special weekend and would definitely return!

Great place!

Great cabin, definitely remote. So if you just want a place to stay and do absolutely nothing but enjoy the sound of nature, this place is it. Would definitely book again.

Great GetAway

The cabin was a perfect place to go to unwind and just enjoy nature and the surrounding beautiful area of WV. The cabin was everything that was described and very clean and comfortable.

Annual Trip to the Deerling

The Deerling is the best place and most fun I’ve ever had. Owner was great and super friendly, place was clean, plenty of room, quiet and relaxing. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.

Beautiful, Clean, Secluded

My family had a lovely time at the property. The children (4 & 6) years old had a delightful sleeping space in the loft. Their grandmother said it was one of the most peaceful places she had ever stayed. All of the rooms were a tad bigger than I thought they would be and the layout of the cabin was very nicely done.

Perfect cabin.

The cabin was great and just what we were looking for but ended up being way more than we expected. Very quiet, private and perfect for enjoying nature. Hope to make it back soon.

A real gem

Absolutely wonderful place! Peaceful, so relaxing. Lots of deer each day. We would recommend it highly for anyone looking to unplug and getaway. We will definitely return for another stay!
