About this property

4 bedrooms Cape Cod with pool, 100 yards from the beach

The Cape House is warm and cozy, complete with tasteful up to date furnishings and a newly remodeled living room and kitchen with granite counter-tops and all new stainless steel appliances. Your whole family will enjoy the quality time playing in the salt water swimming pool which is open during summer months. There is a beautiful grape arbor and wild blackberries in the dunes along the front of the property to be enjoyed. Best of all, you're just a short stroll (down Rock Lane) to a beautiful non-bulk headed (unobstructed), sandy beach.

Additionally, there is no public or on street parking and therefore the number of beachgoers is generally limited to only homeowners or rental guests. The beach is wide and there is lots of room to spread out as well.

* Pool season Mid May to September 30th. (pool open earlier if weather favorable and not heated)
*When pre-booking, please be aware local taxes are no longer being included in the total rental amount shown by VRBO
* Pillows, blankets and comforters are provided.
* a 40 dollar charge will be added for Linens (bed sheets, pillowcases and bath and beach towels)
* Minimum age requirement to rent 27 **
* Base rate is a Off season rate from Mid October to 3 week of May**
* Peak Season 3rd week of May to Mid-October - weekly rentals only (Saturday to Saturday)

Nice house at a convenient location

Everything about the property was as described and we had good communication with the owners. The addition of beach towels and linens was very convenient. I can't really think of any negatives that we had about this day.

The house was clean and a perfect size for my family of 5 - including my dog. The balcony and pool were great amenities, but we didn’t use the pool because it was cold and stormed most of the week. Someone came by twice during the week to clean the pool, which was nice in case we wanted to use it. The front yard was fenced in and great for the dog. It was nice to see people walking around the neighborhood for exercise - it made me feel like we were in a safe area. We drove into Pungo and Red Mill neighborhoods for grocery and found tasty restaurants everyday - about a 15 min drive. The hosts were communicative and answered my questions. I recommend booking linen and towel service with them - the towels were soft and great quality. My family and I enjoyed staying here and would book with the hosts again.

Overall, a good stay and a perfect location to the beach. The pool deck is in need of some TLC, and a lot of the outlets inside don't work. The owners were highly responsive in rectifying a few issues.

Would definitely book this property again!

The house and pool were both great. We loved the location-the walk to the beach ( which is beautiful) is just as close as it says. Restaurants and shopping are a short drive away. We had a wonderful time.

Great location and home in Sandbridge

The Cape House was just right for our family of 4. We loved being 2 blocks from the lovely beach and enjoying a dip in the pool in the afternoons. Great stay!

Great time in Sandbridge!

We loved the location of the Cape House! It made us feel like we were on Cape Cod/Massachusetts where we are from! Easy access to everything and we loved our proximity from the beach. Lots of dolphins every morning!

Fantastic Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time! The home met all of our requirements. The kitchen was well equipped, allowing us to prepare most of our meals. The pool was an extra treat that everyone enjoyed.

Great little house

We had a great week and enjoyed the house and the closeness to the beach. Great that there were beach toys there for our grandson. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable furniture. We had an issue at the beginning, but the owner quickly answered and had someone there to fix the problem on Monday.

So clean, laid out well. Excellent Kitchen with lots of small appliances and cookware. Fantastic pool which was a big hit with my granddaughter. Loved the area.

Great Location Getaway

If you're looking to vacation at Sandbridge, the Cape House is a great place to stay. The location is perfect and is a very short walk to the beach. The fenced in yard was perfect for our family and the dogs enjoyed it very much. Our dogs gave the yard "four paws up"! The owner is very responsive and provides great follow through and results. We definitely plan to be back and recommend the Cape House as a wonderful place to stay and experience the Sandbridge Area.

Great spot!

We are a family of 6 with 4 small children under 8. We loved the quiet location. The beach access was across 2 streets, which was easy to cross and get to the beach even with little ones. Our kids also appreciated the swing set when they were not swimming or enjoying the beach. We also brought our small dog along, which had a safe gated spot to run around in. The host was quick to respond to questions and accommodated us a little earlier to check in. Overall, we loved our time there and plan to return next year!

Wonderful home and location!

We had a great time, the house is at a wonderful location, has everything you need, and is very comfortable. Owners were super responsive and helpful. Two suggestions - update instructions with wifi password (correct one was posted in the house) and maybe some more light in living area. Otherwise, perfect! Thank you!

Minutes walk to gorgeous beach

Lovely property with easy check in in peaceful neighborhood so close to the beach you can hear the waves from the porch. The house needs some TLC. Its not dirty but it is worn. Living room furniture seemed brand new so in all this is a good spot! Plenty of sleeping accommodations. Even better spot when considering the location. Would come back.

Navy son visit

We went to VA to visit our son who is in the Navy and loved the Sandbridge area it is beautiful. We were across the street from the beach that was awesome. It was March so it was chilly, we did have a few warm days so we enjoyed that. I am sure its even better in the summer months with a pool and the beach. We did enjoy the house and location, I think in the future I prefer a home with linens and sheets etc. especially when you are traveling from afar, but other than that it was a great trip.

Can’t beat the location

The biggest selling point of the Cape House is the location. A short walk to the beach and the neighborhood doesn’t feel touristy at all. The house itself isn’t very big, so if you’re looking for a big living room for the whole family to hang out, you might be a little cramped. We had 4 adults and 2 children under 3 years old and it was tight. However, the kitchen table can seat 8 and would be great for board games. The bedrooms were a little small but comfortable and the full size washer and dryer was great to have. Lastly, having 2 bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, was a nice element of the house.Pay attention to the sheets/ towels information in the house description. We did not use the linen service but we did bring our own and faired fine. The house has comforters and pillows, but no sheets or towels.My biggest issue with the Cape House was the outside. Unfortunately, it was a little too cold during our stay to swim but the pool looked nice and new. However, the rest of the pool area left little to be desired. The seating was mostly on the deck and we didn’t feel comfortable moving it downstairs. The bar/ grilling area was non existent and looked old. Even when the weather was nice, we didn’t spend any of our time there. It needs some TLC to become a space I would want to hang out in. If the owners could fix that area up, the Cape House would be an awesome gem.

Just ok

The house was nice, there are 2 bedrooms on 1 st floor and 2 bedrooms on 2nd floor, bathrooms on each floor, nice in ground pool, but the landscaping on the property needs to be cleaned up it was horrible, dried up leaves and weeds everywhere, the flies and magnets were out of control around the garbage cans and around the pool area under house, my brother in law cleaned the garbage can area to help with the fly & bug problem because we were getting bug bites, if we had small children with us I would have been highly disappointed as no child could be near the pool or in the yard because of the weeds, there was no ladder to pool only steps to get in and out, also light in pool didn’t work so no night swimming. I understand that no property is perfect but this place needs a lot of help and clean up, and yes I did contact property manager on some issues, but I also feel that I shouldn’t be the 1 waiting for repair ppl to come fix things when I’m on vacation.
