Les Maisons de L'abreuvoir Côté Parc Marly-le-roi

Marly-le-Roi is located twenty kilometres west of Paris, in the Yvelines department, in the heart of the Ile-de-France region. Close to Versailles and Saint-Germain-en-Laye, the city is proud of its royal origins!

As Gérard Mabille writes in Vues des Jardins de Marly, the gardening king, "what the king sought and found in Marly,
is perhaps, in the end, what was missing in Versailles".

Located at the foot of the watering trough and therefore of the royal estate of Marly, The Maisons de l'Abreuvoir are located a few metres from the old village, its church, its private mansion and everything that makes Marly-le-Roi so magical.

The "Maisons de L'Abreuvoir" are an opportunity for a cultural break from the hustle and bustle of Versailles but also for a sporting interlude because the royal estate, open to the public and free of charge, has 53 hectares classified as Historic Monuments. The National Estate of Marly has been awarded the "Remarkable Garden" label in 2022 by the Ministry of Culture.

This place is perfect if you are planning a couple of days in Paris. It's a 10 minute drive from Versailles and a 10 minute walk to a train station which takes you into La Defense or St Lazare.We had a wonderful time.
