This house was perfect for our visit to Capital Reef. Lovely home inside and out but the best part was the views, especially sunrise and sunset. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to Park headquarters which is quite reasonable. We didn’t have much communication with our host because little was needed.
We loved our stay at the hilltop home. The shared spaces and bedrooms were all big enough for my big family. Lots of rentals prioritize bedroom space, but have very little kitchen and living room space. This home has adequate space for everyone to eat together and relax together after a long day of hiking, which we loved. My kids really loved seeing the bunnies and bluebirds in the yard. A couple of small imperfections: the downstairs master bedroom door doesn't close all the way. And there are no fans in the bathrooms. These things didn’t bother us much, as the rest of the home was so comfy. And the views from the home are spectacular.
Great location to explore Capital Reef area. Beautiful views of the red rock cliffs from the front picture window and Boulder mountain from the rear slider.
The house is a little hard to find because there is a new RV park along the road that becomes the driveway. Just drive through the RV park and up the hill. Very quiet and private location.
The house is well stocked with everything you might need for a vacation base. Good Wifi too.
We would absolutely stay again when in the area.
Great clean home with very comfy beds.
There’s an expanding RV park at the edge of the property. There was a mobile home person at the RV park that had loud music every night till about 10:30 which broke the wonderful peaceful solitude of the home.
Property was clean, well stocked and comfortable. Great stop on our roadtrip. Fit our party of 3 adults and 2 kids easily. Well outfitted kitchen. Would recommend!
We spent one late night at the property and really didn’t get to enjoy it too much but it was very comfortable and well equipped! Beautiful landscape to wake up to!
Loved the views and the open floor plan. Lots of room to visit, eat and play games. Views were amazing. Nice outside patio. The owner was great to work with and very responsive to any questions we had.
This home was the perfect place for our family of 6 to stay as we passed through visiting Capitol Reef. The guest book in the house had great recommendations for hikes and restaurants. The spacious house was well appointed with everything we needed for our stay including toiletries, bedding, and kitchen supplies. The best part is the privacy as well as the beautiful views of red rocks from the living room. The communication with the host was easy and responses quick. We would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.
If you’re leaving Bryce Canyon and heading to Capitol Reef or vice versa, this spot is perfect. Plenty of room for all six of us, quiet and a beautiful view out the front door. We’ll stay here again when we come back to the Big 5.
The house is in a great location as a home base for visiting the parks in the area. It is very quiet, with no other homes nearby. The view is so beautiful! It was very clean inside and everything is labeled well. Plenty of space for our group of 5 adults. Only negative is the yard and deck area could have been cleaned up and maintained better, it was not very inviting to sit outside. Overall it was a great trip and would stay again.
The house exceeded our expectations. Brilliant views. Comfortable furnishings. Very clean. Short drive to a full service grocery store and shorter drive to markets and restaurants. We did some extraordinary hikes both in the hight country and in the canyons. Could not ask for more.
We had such a great time staying near Capitol Reef. The house was clean and well appointed. We did puzzles, watched a movie, and when the snow flurries stopped hopped in the car and took in the majesty of Capitol Reef. The views from the house truly are incredible. The host was so easy to work with. We hope to come back!
The views from this home are stunning. We arrived after a record snowfall and had to wait 2 days to get the road cleared - well worth the wait - the views in all directions were absolutely spectacular. The house itself was well equipped with everything we needed for our three week stay.
We loved this place the moment we arrived. Stunning view out the front window of the red rocks in the distance. Secluded location with no houses nearby. We saw two herds of 10 to 15 deer during our stay. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen had all of the utensils we needed to cook all of our breakfasts and dinners. We enjoyed watching large TV screen mounted on the wall. The only problem we encountered during our stay was the gas fireplace failing to light. Within a few hours our host had the problem fixed. We are five family members in our '60s who spent eight days hiking in Capitol Reef National Park and surrounding area. Couldn't have asked for a better place as our home base.
The house was clean and nice. Great views. Great location for Capital Reef National Park
