My family and I vrbo twice a year so we can all get together. I have a feeling this will be our new summer rental. It was perfect.. on the lake and the views were awesome. Floating in the pool looking at the lake! Kids fished and went kayaking. It's a great place for a family . There's something for everyone.
This place was so great we actually extended our stay so we’re actually checked back in for two more nights. I am a VRBO Host also and I will tell you right now …we will definitely be booking this for at least two weeks or possibly a month next year because it’s a phenomenal place to stay it is exactly what you see in the pictures… we caught crabs every single day( they have crab pots). This property is also close to everything here Cape Charles, chincoteague island, and so much more. The host Nancy is awesome she was so helpful when it came to an emergency medical in our family, she had quick communication and a resolution for my husband and I, she was so very kind and understanding . The property manager they have is also awesome and he is so informative and an extremely kind. The Pool man Jesse was also very kind and informative and took the time to come over a day earlier on a Sunday to come clean the pool because we had just checked in … he also came back again during the week to keep the pool pristine. But, what was even better he let us know where to go when we wanted to take our Labrador to go walk on a beach. We could not ask for a better place to have a much-needed break and vacation as we did here. We have vacation a lot and a lot of places and I will say this and also as a host this is a 10 property.
My stay was Amazing! The house was perfect! Clean and stocked with an abundance of everything you could need. The veiw was breathtaking! Thank you for a beautiful week on the shore
We had an absolutely wonderful stay here and would 100% come back again, it was very hard to leave. The back view of the creek waterfront was more amazing than the pics showed. The owner was responsive immediately for the few questions we had during our stay. The pool was great we spent so much time just hanging at the house and pool. The dock was very cool for our 5 year old to hang out on and watch all the tiny crabs along the shore. This property was perfect for our family to relax and spend time together. Thank you so much to the owner for sharing it!
The property was amazing. You couldn't find a more relaxing, beautiful or tranquil spot. The house was great, very clean and full of amenities. We cooked almost every meal home and the host has every tool/item you could ask for. The pool was the highlight of my son's vacation and it is great. Goes from 3ft for younger swimmers to a soft sloping deep end. The walls are angled for swimmers learning as well. The deck and space provided in the backyard is amazing, mostly shaded for hot days but enough sun for those who want it. The area cannot be anymore relaxing, the views of this place are amazing. The sunsets/sunrises on tdock are immaculate. We caught a full moon at night and it was beautiful. The host communication was great. Had some trouble with the WiFi and she walked us right through in minutes of sending a message. If you are looking to relax and have a 'lazy'cation as my little guy put it, grab this if available.
So this place is so amazing we actually extended our stay until today. This house is exactly how it’s described… but, as far as we’re concerned. The osprey house is tranquil, not off the beaten path so far that you can’t go 30 minutes to the north or to the south and find so many things to go do. We enjoyed Cape Charles, we even went back over the bridge and if you have easy pass you should bring it with you because it’s 16 one way but if you do it in less than 24 hours it’s only six dollars coming back. It is definitely worth the trip if you’d like to go into Maine city areas, or if you’re like my husband and I who love to go antiquing or the thrift stores, the art Studios or museums. But we also love to fish and crab so the fishing is spectacular over there as well as Cape Charles , Kiptopeke state park, as well as Chincoteague island. But, our best crabbing was here at Osprey house we caught nothing but number ones and number two which are everything over 7 inches. We made sure we threw back all of the females because we definitely want to have crabs all year round and for the future. Now most people would think this time of the year is not a good time to come out to fish or crab if that’s what you’d like to do but it is I grew up here on the Eastern shore and this is the best time to come in and get crabs and clams and oysters and everything else that has to do with seafood. The sunrises here are gorgeous, the property is an amazing park like setting. Booking next year.
A wonderful and relaxing stay. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed. The pool area was great and we enjoyed it daily, along with grilling and the fire pit. The perfect escape for this city family!
The kitchen was very well equipped, enough for my family and I to host Christmas dinner for 11 people. We had to bring in extra folding chairs but the owners supplied us with a folding table. It was clean, comfortable and very spacious! The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful and landscape is sublime. It was such a delight staying there! Thank you!
