We took our girls and a few of their friends down for a few days to celebrate summer. We had a great time. We loved that we didn’t have to worry about traffic or overcrowded tourists. The girls could come and go to the beach as a group and we didn’t have to worry. We had some rough weather and the AC went out but the host handled it quickly for us and the girls were able to play games and wait out the storm. Loved that we could take our dog to the beach as well. It just added to the fun.
We loved Kim’s property on Dauphin Island, it was PERFECT for us!!!! We had 8 girls in the house and the space couldn’t have worked out better. The location is ideal, a minute or so walk to the beach and close to restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend both this rental and Dauphin Island as a vacation spot!!! Thanks Kim
This beautiful home has everything, comfortable beds, close to the gulf beach (an easy walk even for my 3 year old), soft clean beds, Wi-Fi, bicycles and sand toys for kids, and a porch with a great view of the Gulf and the bay. I couldn’t recommend any place more for a great trip to Dauphin island.
Well appointed house that suited all our needs. We're a family of 9 and had plenty of space. Wonderful beds and plenty of pillows. Great location on the island. Kimberly was easy to deal with and very prompt to reply! Looking forward to staying here again.
Would absolutely stay here again. Great location, great host, fast communication, and super clean. Kimberly even ordered us a large stock pot for a shrimp boil when I asked if there was one on the property. She always responded immediately to our questions. 10/10
We love Dauphin Island and decided to rent a vacation home this stay instead of staying in a condo. Absolutely loved this property for me, my husband, 3 teens, and 2 young adults. They provided everything we could have needed. Loved the added benefit of items to enjoy on the beach and bikes to ride around the island on. Would definitely stay again.

The house was not clean. There was out of date sausage in the refrigerator and thick layers of dust all over the base boards, the fans, and the return had such a layer of dust, there is no telling when the filter was last changed. (Pictures included) The air hardly worked in the bedroom by the back door, even after supposedly being worked on.The booking advertised there would be bicycles, there were no bicycles. The ice maker in the freezer made maybe 6 pieces of ice every 3 hours. The bedroom furniture is very cheap. With a 40 pound child on the top bunk in the bunk room, the base boards were bowing like it would break. Any bed you sat on made sounds like you were going to fall to the floor any second. The bathroom by the back door has no ventilation, even with the fan going, the whole room was wet and you would have to leave the door open for hours to let it dry out. The dryer did not dry a load of laundry no matter what setting it was put on, without having to be run 3 times. The shower by the front door, had a crack in the bottom of the tub, which seemed like it was repaired horribly. The MOLD! After the first night of our 7 night stay, one adult and an infant, started having symptoms of being very sick. They were experiencing coughing, having trouble breathing, runny nose, chest congestion, and just overall not feeling well. At first we all thought it was just a bug. By day 3/4, another adult in the house sick, MOLD was HORRIBLE !! 5 DAYS GONE & STILL SICK !!!
1. Bring extra toilet paper and paper towels! We ran out of both during our 4 night stay and had to pay the increased prices for more on the island. 2. Although VRBO shows checkout time as 1100, the owner will tell you the night before checkout that it's actually at 1000. Even though I forwarded our booking info showing 1100. 3. Not very clean. My daughter was so excited to sleep on the top bunk bed....until she got on the bed and discovered popcorn everywhere. There was an eye mask in another bed. Makes me think they didn't even change the sheets There were old French fries on the floor in their bedroom, too. If you're going to ask guests to take the sheets off when leaving, you should probably try to ensure the mattresses and pillows are clean. Pretty gross. (Pics below) Also, some trash & water bottles laying around when we arrived. 4. The fridge was not cooling when we got there. Kudos for the responsiveness when I let the owner know. However, it was a little demeaning when he kept saying, "Well, it worked just fine for the guests before you," and "the house is only 2 years old." Thankfully the repair man came that night and fixed it. The fridge was sooo dirty when he pulled it out. 5. Recommend bringing paper plates. The ones they had there had plastic chipping off everywhere....did not seem very safe to eat off of. 6. The location is great, walkable to the beach, and quiet. We loved sitting out on the patio during lunch and in the evenings.
After a rough summer that included losing our oldest son to a car accident, we decided our family needed a break and decided on a trip. We had never been to Dauphin Island before but we will definitely be back and would absolutely stay in this house again. The house was clean, close to the beach, decorated so cute and had everything we needed for a great trip. Our other kids loved the beach toys and the bikes that were provided. Check in and check out was simple and the host was easy to talk to and quick to respond. There was a binder with all kinds
of helpful information about the island as well. Would definitely recommend renting this property.
The process of everything was so easy. Communication between Kimberly was always open and available and she is amazing at getting things taken care of . I ride in the first parade on the Island so that is what brought us down for the weekend ! The views from this place of everything around and the property itself was beautiful . Pictures do not do it justice. I hope that next year for our parade we can come back here again and make it a yearly tradition !!
I want to start by saying that the property was beautiful and the location is great. The house is supplied with everything you need. The property agent/manager helped us out tremendously. Highly recommend!
