The family home is located at the end of a private road and is surrounded by a large garden. From the terrace you have a beautiful panoramic view over the lake, with the island Isola Madre and the snow top mountains in the back. Every sunset is a magic moment.

The house is ideal for one or two families with children. 3 bedrooms with double beds and one room with bunkbeds. Baby bed is available as well. Maximum is 6 adults and 2 children. (+baby)
The kitchen is fully equipped, gas stove and dish washer, coffee machine. Two bath rooms, dining room with table for 8+, living room with open fire place, TV and unlimited Wifi.
Large terrace with table for 10 under the shade, garden with playground
Via 200 stairs you have access to a private beach shared with five houses.
Garage with washing machine and dryer, table tennis, car parking.

Bar and restaurant are in 10min walking distance in Reno. For shopping you need to drive 3km to Leggiunio (bakery, vegetables) or 7km to Laveno (supermarkets and shops), a vehicle is mandatory. Space for 3 vehicles.

Perfect Family Stay

This house was the perfect location about an hour outside of Milan with an amazing view and charm for miles. It felt like an oasis and the views were unmatched. We loved every moment of our stay. The bathrooms have also been recently redone and are beautifully updated.

A magical family getaway on Lake Maggiore

The photos don’t do this place justice! An absolutely wonderful family vacation home on the best part of Lake Maggiore with glorious sunset views and a shady private beach surrounded by hydrangeas. Our children loved the toys, sandbox and trampoline, while the adults were mesmerized by the spectacular vistas of the lake and snowcapped mountains surrounding it. I can’t imagine a better place to stay in the region.

Fabulous views! Great excursions. Lovely comfortable home with well equipped kitchen. Enjoyed a wood fire on a rainy evening and sunrise on the alps on a clear morning. Communication with the owner family was prompt and helpful. Highly recommend this rental.

Everything was just lovely!

We loved our stay at this property in Leggiuno! Henri communicated with us every step of the way, and the house came just as advertised. It is such a lovely location, on a hill overlooking Lago Maggiore, we just really enjoying relaxing on the verandah with our vino while watching the sunset each evening! The historic villa is roomy, pristine, is close to other villages, as well as the Ferry which can get you to the Borromean Islands. It’s a heartfelt 5-Star review from us! Fabulous house and location

We reserved this house after seeing the photos and reading about all its features. When we got there and saw how amazing the views were and how well equipped and lovely the house is in person, we were thrilled to stay a whole week. This is a long held family vacation home which has been loved for the decades. Every room has a gorgeous view of Lake Maggiore. One morning after a rain, the Monte Rosa massif was pure white in the distance and crystal clear. The garden of blooming azaleas is breathtaking. Henri was in contact immediately whenever I had a question. Even in early May Lake Maggiore is busy in the tourist towns, such as Stresa. Our retreat was quiet. We can’t say enough about this magical place and hope to return sometime.

Das Haus ist groß, ruhig gelegen und leicht zu finden dank einer guten und ausführlichen Anleitung in den ReisedokumentenDas gesamte Grundstück war in einem außerordentlich gepflegten und sauberen Zustand. Die Zimmer waren groß, sodass wir mit 6 erwachsenen und einem Baby genug Platz hatten. Die Küche war mit guter, zum Teil sehr guten Gegenständen ausgestattet. Das Haus war sehr familiär eingerichtet und man wusste es zu schätzen, dass dieses Haus an fremde Gäste vermietet wird Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war stets unkompliziert, hilfreich und freundlich.

Villa Margarete erhält uneingeschränktes Lob von den 8 Mitgliedern unserer deutsch/amerikanischen Kleinfamilie und das in allen Belangen: traumhafte Lage mit dem wunderschönen See-/Bergblick, das Haus mit seinem speziellen Charakter und der für uns passenden Raumaufteilung, die umfangreiche Ausstattung der Küche und von Wohn-/Ess-Terrassenbereich. Die Kinder genossen ausgiebig das Außenangebot: Trampolin, Tischtennis, Schlauchboot (am Privatstrand). Die Betreuung durch den Vermieter in alle Phasen war beispielhaft. Sollte Lago Maggiore wieder einmal unser Reiseziel sein: nur Villa Margarete!

Unglaublich schön und bereits weiter empfohlen

Vorab: der Austausch mit unseren Gastgebern war einfach, schnell und unkompliziert. Die beiden sind super nett und zuvorkommend. Das Haus ist traumhaft und der Blick ist herrlich. Auch wenn das Wetter mal nicht so gut ist, kann man sich im gemütlichen Haus wunderbar aufhalten. In der Umgebung findet man alles was man benötigt (Restaurants, Bäcker, Metzger, Supermarkt) . Wir waren mit der gesamten Familie (6 Erwachsene 1Kind) und hatten eine tolle Zeit. Ich leg euch die Unterkunft wärmstens ans Herz. Wir kommen auch gerne wieder.

Tolle Herbstferien

Ich war mit meinen 2 Jungs (13 und 16) eine Woche vom 21.-28.10.23 in dem Feriendomizil. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. Das wirklich großzügige Anwesen verfügt über eine wunderschöne Lage mit Blick auf den See. Die Zimmer sind urgemütlich, geräumig und in einem sauberen Zustand. Das besondere Highlight war abends der Kamin. Die Lage ist sehr zentral am See, so dass wir jeden Tag von dort an einen anderen Ort fahren konnten. Die Wege waren kurz. Zudem gibt es einen eigenen Strandzugang. Supermärkte sind ebenfalls schnell zu erreichen und die Küche verfügt über umfangreiches Equipment. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den extrem guten Kontakt zum Vermieter, der wirklich alles unternommen hat, dass wir uns wohlfühlen und immer für uns erreichbar war. Alles in allem können wir diese Lokation 100% weiterempfehlen und planen auf jeden Fall nochmal einen Urlaub dort ein. Danke für alles!

Tolle Terrasse, das Haus hat alles was man braucht. Betten sind sehr gemütlich. Die Abende am Kamin waren sehr schön! Die Ausstattung hat einen 60er/70er Jahre Charm. Henri und Martin sind sehr hilfsbereite und nette Gastgeber.

Das Haus ist hoch, so dass Sie von allen Zimmern und der Terrasse einen schönen Blick auf den See haben. Der Privatstrand ist nicht viel, große Steine und kein Strand, wie wir uns das Wort Strand vorstellen. Aufgrund seiner Lage führen viele Treppen im Haus und außerhalb des Hauses nach unten. Einfach zu machen, aber etwas zu beachten.

Ideaal familieverblijf

Martin geeft alle medewerking bij eventuele hulpvragen. Het huis is prachtig en is zelfs voor de allerkleinsten met alle denkbare spullen zoals speelgoed en kinderboeken voorzien. Het huis ligt prachtig, het uitzicht ook en het heeft een heerlijk terras. De kinderstoel moet wel nodig vervangen worden, maar verder: niets dan lof!!

Wir hatten wunderschöne Tage in der Villa Margarethe. Auch die Kommunikation mit Herrn Gabers war hervorragend und ist nicht selbstverständlich. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man erholsame Urlaubstage erleben möchte.

The house was build by our Grandfather. Now all grand and great grandchilden live fare away and use the house only for vacation. Therefore we have decided to offer the house to families with children the prefer the charme of a private house with a history. For us this is a place of great memory with many happy moments and we wish to share this with you. The guest book is full of wonderful memories of all the guest that have share our hospitality.

Why they chose this property

The house with its large garden and the terrasse with the beautiful panoramic view is the ideal place to relax and enjoy family time.
The garden is big enough for the children to play, the little ones can play in the sandbox, the bigger ones jump the trampolione or play in the tree house.
For the adults there are plenty of shady areas to read a book or take a nap in the hammok under the beech tree.
At lunch you enjoy the cooling shadow of the wisteria, which blossoms in May.
In the afternoon you refresh at the private beach and go a for a swim in the lake.
In the evining you can enjoy an apperitiv on the terrase and heat the charcoal BBQ for dinner. The sunset is the most majic moment on the day, when the gold rays color the mountain tops of the snow covered alps. In the warm summer nights we have counted endless stars and shooting stars.
Relaxion for the whole family.

in the late summer the fruits are ripe, like the figs and apples
in the fall you collect the maroni in the garden and heat them up of the open fire in the fire place.
