Newly remodeled in 2021, the School House is a crafting destination for your group of up to 8 people. But it isn't limited to just crafting. The School House can also be rented for any sort of retreats from yoga to cooking to gaming or simply as overflow space for guests.
If you look close enough on the outside brick walls you will see the names of the children who went to school there. Some dating as far back as 1936 and still in the graphite pencil used. These outside walls tell a history and many local names can be found written.

landed here in Perham 20 years ago and purchased the St. Joe's Rectory ( which was built in 1914 and located right across the street from the school house) in August of 2020 we purchased the St. Joe's School from our neighbors Lawerence and Adeline Dhykoff who live in the building that housed the Benedictine Nuns. We love this building and hope you let yourself relax and bring out the creative spirit in you. A pre 1900 School house located 4 miles outside the city of Perham, Minnesota in the heart of Lakes country.

The School House is perfectly set up for crafting, creating or just gathering. Big windows, Open main floor with adjustable (both around and up/down) craft stations, ironing stations, design centers, fully equipped kitchen, 3 bathrooms and lots of space. This is a wonderful place to escape and create with your friends and family members. Leave the mess behind and bring it over to the school house.
What makes this property unique
The School House has been completely remodeled. It has commercial electricity, plumbing and separate heating and air conditioning on each floor. Free wifi, lots of space and outdoor deck and a rural setting that is close to town (4 miles) on paved roads. Close to lakes, restaurants, recreation, shopping. fishing and Perham's newly remodeled community center.
